  1. I have parenal controls and it will not let me make a gravitar or caster page!! and I guess you can't Submit a ful grown cat on the daily KITTEN do you have any advice????

  4. NAC, I'm not the kitten master but I think I can answer your questions. No one but your parents can reset the controls they have on your computer activity to allow you to make a gravitar here or a webpage on Catster.com. You need to talk to your parents about that.

    You are right, the Daily Kitten only posts pictures of kittens. Do you have any pictures of Neela and Charlie as kittens? You could submit those. :D

  6. NAC, talk to your parents about letting you set up a Catster page. That way you can put up pictures and other neat things - it is kind of like MySpace for cats.

    Also you could show your parents TDK and Catster and tell them what you want to do. Maybe if they see the sites, they'll turn off the controls for you to post. You might even start out by saying,"I need your help with this...." (That always gets MY attention!)

  8. N&C I truly hope that your parents know that you are on a message board. You have to understand that they have those parental controls to keep you safe. You really have no idea who you are talking to on an open message board. I feel that TDK is a fairly safe group, but there are others on the internet that are not. There are people, preditors, that actually will look for and target trusting people. You have parents that are trying to protect you, yet allow you the freedom to use a message board. I can say that I did not allow my daughter to use a message board at your age. I hope that your parents are aware of where you are going and that you share what you would like to do so that safety can be maintained.

  9. Maybe I misunderstood but if you want a picture of your cat as a gravitar it doesn't need to be a kitten or for Catster either

  10. Petpntr she is young and her parents have parental control on her computer. There are some sites she can not enter without her parents permission. To be able to upload a gravitar she has to have her parents reset the controls, the same with her ability to create a Catster page.

  11. Well I guess you can tell my kids are grown. I just thought if she could access the site to send a message then she could put up a gravatar. I keep saying every time I come on here I learn something new only its usually about cats :) Thanks SoxMom. I think its a shame parental controls are so necessary but I am glad that these parents care enough about her to take the time and implement them these safeguards.
