Lots of people have posted to these boards for purrs and white light etc. Well, now it's my turn.
Today in the morning I got into an exchange of words with my manager and was told to go home. I wasn't told I was fired, but I was told they would call me if they wanted me to come back.
Now, while I appreciate any sympathy you can send my way, what I need is a better job, even if I'm not fired. I need one where I can work from home if possible, or if not, then I can at least not have to get up at 6 in the morning just to go someplace and deal with stupidity, both form coworkers and customers.
For six years I have effectively been this company's data entry department. Can they survive without me? Yes. Can they do nearly as well? No. Can I survive without them? Sure. But if I can avoid having to wash dishes for a living, especially in this economy, it would be appreciated.
