I used to have a kitty who would sit and stare at me until I opened my eyes. You know how you get that feeling that someone's staring at you? Then if I didn't open my eyes, she would lick my eyelids until I did.

velvet has lots of ways to wake me up. if i'm on my side, she will get up on my hip and rock from side to side. licking or nibbling on my toes. staring at me from one inch away. her nose on my tongue, if i'm on my back. and the worst of all - licking my eyelids or brushing her whiskers on my eyelids...

I get the staring at me from inches away mostly to see if I am still breathing, cuz you know someone has to feed 'em, clean their litter box, etc...

My late Spanky used to sit on my chest and wait for me to just look at him. I'd try to barely open my eyes (because I knew I'd be up once they were opened) and he'd give me the good 'ole silent meow. When he was older, he lost all of his little teeth on the bottom, and he'd drool on me while waiting.

Had two of them last night staring at me intently to make sure I woke up in time to feed them (again for the third time) before I left for work. When they succeed in waking me up, Ms. B runs like a bat out of h*** for the kitchen (in case I forget where it is) so she can be first (and last) to eat!!

Especially the stuff scattered around the bed. It does need the bladder jump added tho. I'm convinced Molly is knowledgeable about human anatomy and knows just the right spots to jump on.
