Today would have been my mothers 78th birthday!!! I really miss my mom, she has been gone for 11 years now!! She was the strongest woman I ever knew. Things that would make most anyone hysterical..my mom could handle with complete calmness..She was the superglue of the family...the rock!!! I miss her!!! I'm just babbling, I know, but other than Ron (who is at work right now) I don't have anyone else that really understands..
Her name was Minnie Patricia Mae Gehlbach Burris...But if anyone called her anything other than Pat or Patricia Burris, she would give them H%@@...

2bp...your Mom sounded like a wonderful woman. Let it be known...she raised a wonderful daughter as well. You've been a great person to know & that only comes from the way one is raised.
BTW...next month,a few days before Thanksgiving,will be 23 yrs. since I lost my Mom (Mona Rose Herr) to cancer. I still miss her & sometimes even cry still over the loss.

I am having a very hard time dealing with the loss of my mom; the second annivarsary of her passing is Oct. 29th, 12 days from now. Ron is there to help you, and so are your friends here on TDK. It's OK to cry ~ just don't forget you've got lots of {{hugs}}, real and virtual, to comfort you!

Happy Birthday to your mom, 2b. I am sure she can hear all of us wishing her a happy birthday, and I am sure she misses you too. I have an understanding of what you must be going through. My mom passed away in 1999 and I still miss her so much that it feels like it is going to tear me apart.
Just try to remember, it's only a temporary separation. We will see our mom's again someday.

My Mom has been gone for 7 years and I really do miss her! Her B-day was 10/8 she would have been 75 this year, what I did was I bought flowers and balloons
to her grave! I put the flowers there but I send the balloons up to heaven to be with her usually with a note attached! I have done this every year since she's been gone! I know she loves the balloons and the flowers! She lives in you!
