AZDebra that was a good article. You would not believe the amount of women under the age of 45 who think because of their age they can't have a heart attack! What a crock! Then again I was one of them. I haven't head a heart attack, but I was only 36 when they found my heart defect. I go to a cardiologist every year. I was told I would never see my daughter graduate high school. At times I get scared because I am so close to that graduation date but excited I am doing better. Breast cancer is in the news constantly, but many more women die from heart disease.

That was an eye opener AZDebra. Glad you posted it. I am just starting to study nursing and healthcare and we had this topic in our class last week. I am going to copy it and bring it to class just to share. It is shocking how young and healthy we can be and therefore not recognize possible symptoms of a heart attack.

SoxsMom, yep I do agree I have a couple of friends who have had heart attacks and never knew it until afterwards because no one knew the symptoms for women.
Krazikat, glad I could give something that others are interested in too.

KK stroke in younger women is on the rise too. Women are experiencing higher blood pressure and not treating it. I work with someone who takes her BP meds while she feels bad but when she feels normal she will forget or not take it if she is taking something else like tylenol because of possible drug interaction. Unfortunately for the meds to work consistantly you have to take the meds consistantly. It seems that for so long women where told they are being hystarical and so on. That isn't the case. Not only do men and women think different, but their physical bodies work differently too.

MMM, the movie we walked out of was Rachel Got Married. Not only was it weird, but the worst part was the was they filmed it (sort of like a Blair Witch Project kind of filming). It made me so nauseaus I thought I was going to toss my cookies (or the dinner from Chili's) - yikes!
The window seat I had for the boys I'd had for over a year. I got it at PetsMart and the velcro thing that was supposed to hold it up didn't work well so back when I put it up, I used crazy glue! Well, I guess Fatty Bobby's ten lbs. were finally too much :)

Not enough fluorescent lighting lately, I think you need to get back to your night shifts soon before your brain liquefies..

Same thoughts here, only 21 more days at the most and then the land of normalcy. How has your day went?

So far so good, got Mr MS up and off after 4 1/2 hours sleep and then couldn't go back to sleep. It's wet outside but not raining yet so I won't be in the garden today. Waiting for the mechanic to ring and say he has finished repairing my car. Then I'll have the bill to pay, I'm hoping it's not too big, cos that will hurt.

Oh I know that feeling, I hope its not too big a bill for you to pay. Wish it would rain here, would be a nice change from the dry winds lately.

We've had the Spring equinox winds and they are very drying, some yeasrs I've had my plants either 'burnt' to death or twisted and ripped out of the ground by the winds. Luckily they don't last long and then we get typical Spring weather, wet, dry, fine, cold you name it we get it. Some areas have even had snow falls and one ski field got so much they reopened.

When growing up and living in California, we had the dreaded Santa Ana winds...that is what was kicking up all the fires in California, they are dry and very strong and basically burn things to death too.
