You know things are a little out of control when.....

  1. your kitty comes in at night and you think it is because he is eager to be with you and instead he makes a b-line for the popcorn and proceeds to lick all the butter off AND you watch him do it without protesting :)

When are things a little out of control at your house? :) ELizabeth

  6. When Huddy growls at me if I try to move a piece of meat (that I was kind enough to share with him) to his food dish instead of letting him just wrap his paws around it and eat it that way.

  10. When Jasper leaps up to snooze on my bed -- for love and affection and closeness, I fondly think -- and I go to give him a headscritch and he smacks my hand...

  11. When two cats are already in bed with us and a third one jumps in, tries but can't find a place big enough to suit him, them bats and nips at me until I move.

  12. Or, when the remote is out of reach and a cat is in your lap so you watch some awful show rather than disturb the cat.

  13. Cheetah I do that all the time about the tv remote! haha

  14. I also do that with computers. I'll see an instant message or email alert on my laptop but will ignore it because there is a sweet sleeping kitty on my lap

  15. You haven't experienced joy until you are lying under blanets and a three-and-a-half-month-old black kitten decides to climb on your chest and chase his tail in circles......working his way down your body until he is able to chomp on the bedmice.

  16. LOL,that's cute IB.those dern bedmice....
I remember one of my young cats lauching off the chest of drawers on my toes which were masquerading as bedmice once. Needless to say THAT got me up. :)

  18. ...when I delay my shower because Linus is in the tub (or delay washing my face, because Linus is in the sink) or when I have a freshly laundered and dryed pile of clothes in my basket and they think it's great fun to get in there and shed all over the newly washed clothes....(sigh)

  19. Uh oh, it's my bed time and guess where 'you know who' is. Yup, right in the middle of my half of the bed.

  20. ... they turn their noses up at the beautiful fresh pouch/packet/tin you've just opened for them and instead start eating the crusty, disgusting stuff that you put down for them yesterday and they refused to eat then (all right, I know, I should have gotten rid of it by now). I feel like John McEnroe -- 'You CANNOT be serious!'

  21. I think I lost control the minute I saw my first cat...

  22. My back is all bitter and twisted today. Yes, you guessed it, I let HRH Shadz have my half of the bed and ended up sleeping diagonally across the bed. Not conducive to a good nights sleep at all. HRH woke bright and breezy waaaaayyy to early.

  23. When I'm eating a carton of yogurt and the girls jump up on the counter and reach out for the spoon, and rather than telling them 'no', I let them finish the yogurt.

  24. I have no control to speak of, the five w/fur have it all! Sorry MS that your back is all knotted up because of HRH.

  25. Control? The furless two legs are to maintain the house for the furry ones.

Every morning I have toast with jam or butter and check my favorite websites. As usual Mittens hops on the computer desk and tries to sneak a taste of my toast. I was so engrossed in reading TDK posts that I hadn't realized she had licked all the butter off my second piece of toast.
