We're working on it, HM :) Now I just need to get Mr. K to *let* George come over to Mamma when he wants to. Sometimes Mr. K starts patting him or putting his head down for George to lick just as I'm trying to get George to come sit with me. I want to say, "Hey, no fair! You get him all day while I'm at work!"

Kilroy, I'm sure that Georgie will come around eventually. Since you had a rough start with him, he is more unsure of you. I think as he grows up, he'll also grow to love you, too.

Morning everyone, doing a few chores around the house while its still cool. Good to see that everyone seems chipper and full of energy this fall morning.
Having not read the backthreads yet, don't know if anyone has put this one up yet, the kitty kneading the horse's back is great...the Swedish chef voiceover well it has its moments!

If anyone cross-stitches and needs thread, I have a big bag of thread all different colors and will send them to anyone that can use them. My eyes are bothering me so much that I won't use them and can't see them lying around when someone can use them.

Morning all! A big cup of hazlenut latte would do me just fine today. I won a spa service in a drawing a couple of weeks ago so today, I am going for microdermabrasion. I have never had it done before so I am excited. I am hoping it is relaxing. It is being done at a medical spa that has 3 women doctors. Anyone ever had this kind of treatment?

Speaking of cross stitching, with nods to Azdebra, in the latest Stitchery catalog, page 41, is a great wall hanging of the Rainbow Bridge with pictures and poem. I'm contemplating getting it. But my eyes are getting to be the same as yours, Deb!

PJ, that sounds lovely, wish the eyes wouldn't do this as we age but guess it could be worse. So now I 'rescue' cross stitches from thrift shops where they have been abandoned.

Kykat, haven't had it done before but I know one lady that did, depends on the level they go to your face will be red for a bit but the aftereffects are great for your skin. Enjoy being pampered at the spa :)

It is quiet here at work with the Director gone and the two managers whose offices are near mine are at a seminar today. It was arranged and paid for before the Director was laid off. I am currently writing up what I do on a daily basis and on the advice of KyKat and Linda, am also including what I can do, what my skills are and how I would like to be more involved in helping out the department. I will present this to the Senior Manager tomorrow when she is back in the office so that she can then state how much the department needs me to stay on. The Senior Director's admin comes back from vacation on Monday so hopefully she will have some insight too.
Last night when I got home it was a balmy 75 degrees! Thankfully it cooled down. It is suppose to be around low 80's today. I would like some cooler weather and if possible some rain too. We really need it.

SMM, I would gladly give you our rain and cooler temps. I'm heading out soon to volunteer for the Halloween zoo event and the rain and cool temps will keep people from coming. It makes a slow night.
