  1. We went pumpkin picking and then we carved the pumpkins! My youngest son and I are pumpkin masters! We even have diploma's! We took a course 4 years ago and learned all the techniques! My Daughter has learned well from us she get's the pumpkin master title this year!
    Happy Halloween
    Enjoy

  9. Hey 3K -
I love making halloween spooky food - One of my favorite ideas is for a scary punch - Any punch will work - for kits - mix Gatoraid & gingerale - tastes good! Anyway, the spooky thing is this - buy a plastic halloween mask - wash it well. Then tape any holes, like eys or mouth shut, so liquids will stay in . Place the mask face down in a tray (this keeps it secure) fill it with water and freeze it (a couple of days the better). Then when your punch is made, turn your mask out and float the "frozen face" in the punch. It looks like a floating ghost in the punch, it's really neat!

We have the bloody hands in the freezer for the punch! Take latex gloves put red juice(We used cranrasberry) inside and secure closed we twist and rubber band it tight we then lay them flat in the freezer and freeze. remove the glove and float in the punch!
I like the face idea I might have to make it for Halloween! Thanks for the Idea!
    Peace

  11. 3K - Yes, I've seen the hands. If your punch bowl is large enough, you could do the hands on each side of the face!!! Super scary!!! I miss my children being home during Halloween (my son is in college) and my daughter is a senior (too busy!!) When they were in the 10-14 yr. range we used to do a haunted house every year in our garage. The kids would have all their friends over and everyone would dress up. Then they would decorate the inside of the garage with black plastic, scary stuff like skulls & fake body parts. etc. with black lights and such hung from the ceiling. Then the kids would stage themselves like dummies and when people would go thru the haunted house they would jump out and say "boo". Kinda like "halloween horror nights" at universal studios. Anyway, they got to be famous, and the whole neighborhood turned out every year. It was really fun. I miss those years!!
