I'm sure she got a warm welcome at the Bridge!

  2. Wow to know she made it 12 years after such a time is heart warming. She sure must be very happy and in a wonderful place of no pain and careless days of hunting and wathcing over her babies until they join her!

  3. I read this story the other day and find it amazing how strong the will to live is in some animals. It's a miracle that she lived through her injuries let alone another 12 yrs. Amazing kitty for sure. =)

  4. She will be missed by those that loved her, but the reception at the Bridge had to be one of pure joy!

  6. I remember reading about her in the news in 1996! And seeing her and her burns when fresh and she was pretty much hairless. She grew so much of it back! She is still beautiful and If I could have 12 years ago i would have submitted a adoption application!

  7. She wore those scars like a badge of honor..I'm so happy that she spent her remaining years with a loving family.

  10. Just found out about Scarlett's death...*tears falling for a cat who loved so much* I remember reading the original story and was so grateful that she was able to be saved, too. Scarlett certainly has a place in many hearts!

  11. I, too, remember when the original story came out--she was so amazing.
Does anyone have the link handy so we may light a candle for precious Scarlett?
I imagine she had one magnificent welcoming at the Rainbow Bridge.
