I can't believe it! It isn't even Halloween yet, and it is snowing here! I was at a shopping centre about an hour north-east of where we live, when - around 5:00 PM - one of the shop assistants said it was snowing outside! By the time I left, around 6:20 PM, big fluffy flakes were coming down, and it had started accumulating on the grass and cars, but not the road. We are not getting the big fluffy flakes here at home, but it is still definitely snowing! We don't actually get a lot of snow in this part of England, and definitely not much before Christmas, so this is a real surprise!!!

According to the travel news on the way home tonight there was snow over a lot of the midlands, but it's missed us!! Blooming cold though, and my office only has a tiny heater and people keep leaving the door open...grrr!!

I'd heard on the radio this morning that northern Scotland was supposed to get snow and ice, but at that moment, we had beautiful blue sky and sunshine! How quickly it can turn! ;-)

I was shocked to see that Rubia started this one! Sorry for the mess, my friend! I would have assumed it came from the east coast of the US! Weather man said rain, we got 1.5 inches of snow! A bit early here in the state of Pa. Hope all our friends in the outlying areas are ok, cause if I got it so, did you. Weather has screwed up the world series playoffs, not going there, and the roads! I don't know if this is uncommon for you Rubia, don't know how the weather works for you at this time of year. But if an old wives tale hold true, they say that the first laying of snow, check the date it happens and that's how many snows you will have in the winter months. I can only hope the tale does not come true for us. 28 is a bit more than I want to think of handling!!!
