Cato stopped eating on Monday evening and has continued not eating. At first I thought perhaps he had found someone else to feed him earlier in the day than I can. But this morning I gave him a good going over (something that is hard to do without getting bitten) and it appears that he has been fighting (unusual for him, usually he runs). Nothing very obvious, but he didn't even look at Parmesan cheese this morning (that's how I know he is sick). My boss kindly is letting me work at home tomorrow so I can take him to the vet. Hopefully, he will be OK until then -- he's even stopped purring and talking like normal -;) Elizabeth

Awwwww... from one fellow meezer to another - I hope he getts better soon. I read the blog about OCD, particularly to us meezers. So far, Abby's only compulsion is to be velcroed to my side, but then again, she's only three. CATO is a very handsome meeze! You mentioned that he may be fighting - does he go outside? If so, I learned the hard way on my previous cat (he's passed on to kitty heaven), but he wasn't only fighting cats. Apparently he must have fought a racoon or something once because they bit him bad, and I didn't even know it until the bite wounds got infected. They bites were small, so I didn't see them. Anyway, the vet treated him and he lived many long years afterword, but I always made sure he was in at nighttime. Good thoughts and lots of purrrrsss to CATO!!

Is he using the litterbox? Is he drinking anything? How about throwing up?
That's how I know when Max is having a flareup of his UTI problems. Best wishes to Cato--hope you find out what's wrong so he will get better.
