   HI all.....

   It has been brought to my attention that the TDK should make some kind of donation in Renee's name. Thoughts?

   Just let me know where, be it to the "Renees place", to her husband, or for flowers i can chip in a bit. I am still in shock...it seems so odd... =/ to much loss this year for me

   Flowers would be lovely, but we will probably not know the details in time. I think that Renee would love to have us remember kitties in her name and in her honor. She was a vibrant part of this family. So, a TDK fund donation in her name? Or a specific TDK gift? Or, a gift to Chester's Place?

   I simply cannot take this in. In all of my years as a hospice nurse, it is these unexpected deaths of friends that strikes the deepest.

   I'd love to donate, as well, either to Renee's husband for her cats or to Chester's Place or for a possible "Renee's Place". I like the idea of a "Renee's Place" if we can set something up.

   Please, I just got into TDK and heard that Renee passed away. Is this true? Are there any details? I feel so sick.

    I'm afraid so, Emma. There were no details, really, just a post from her poor husband. You can read more on the "Our Renee is Gone" thread. I feel sick, myself and have been crying on and off since I found out.

    Any word on where in AR she is located? I searched last year's christmas list and she wasn't listed. Her husband does make referance to her many fur babies; I would like to find out if we can assist him in anyway with her brood. I too have been crying off and on since I read the post about her passing. I imagined her as a middle age woman younger than 50 but older than 30. Not a mean word was ever uttered by Renee. Her receipes were over the top and she was always adjusting them by throwing in something crazy. Her cakes come to mind....I still can't believe it. Hangs head sobbing.....

    I don't know if this is out of line or not. I hope not because I don't want to say anything to offend anyone or hinder the wonderful memory of Renee but since this is a cat group, cats brought us together, we all know that Renee loved her cats, I would really like to send something to Renees husband to carry on looking after all their fur babies. I have no idea what their financial situation might be and it doesn't really factor into it but I do think it would be a wonderful way to honor her. In case you may not know, you do not need a PayPal account to accept money from PayPal. All you need is an email address. If we can find one for Renee, we can make payments to it to be used as her husband deems appropriate. Just a thought.

    Happy to donate whatever to wherever, but agree some help to Ron & Renee's own cats is probably most appropriate. When something is decided, can we have an idiot's guide as to how to donate? Chip in I understand, but that's about it.

    I know the TDK fund is for people who need help with their pets, but I think that helping Cindy's husband care for her kitties would fall into this category. I'll send an e-mail to the committee. If anyone wants to donate to the TDK fund for this purpose, they could do that. If and when the money is sent, the name of anyone who donated could be included with it. Just a suggestion.
