My mom just told me today when she came to visit that my cat Calico (the feral one, for those that remember my post awhile back about her) got hit by a car half a block from their house on Saturday. My mom thinks it happened Friday night, but she didn't find Calico until Saturday morning. She was finally starting to open up and was such a wonderful cat, I'm glad she knew we loved her, but it's still hard because I spent so much time working with her. She is buried in their garden next to my other two cats that died last Thanksgiving, so that is comforting. Sorry guys, I just needed to talk it out. Thanks for reading :)

I'm so sorry, DM. Auto traffic is one of the worst hazards for kitties who live outdoors.

I'm so sorry to hear about Calico...You and your mom had made such wonderful progress with her and I find it so heartwarming that Calico began to know what real love was and could be in her life. What a beautiful gift that is from you both. Now she's in the wonderful company of so many of our beautiful babies. Thank you for making such a big difference in her little life. {{{hugs}}}
