  1. Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening everyone,
I have the buffet up and the coffee is hot. Kitties are snuggling in the corner after being fed well.

So Maddie finally ate something last night for dinner and we thought we might have turned the corner but she woke up at 2, burning up with fever, so we gave her Motrin and we also think she fell out of her bed. So again at 4:45ish she woke up and was crying and crying. She was out of the bed when I got to her so I don't know if she fell out again or what. I stayed up with her and calmed her down. Her fever was down, I hope for good, so I tried to get her back to sleep to no avail. Finally at 6:30, I gave up and turned on her shows and made her some toast and she is drinking some milk. She asked for a sucker and when I said it was too early she freaked out so I have to admit, I gave in. She is acting fine but I think we are going to try to squeeze her into the Dr today and see if she has an ear infection or see if we can figure out what is going on.
    I am tired! :)

  2. Good morning, CM! Awww - sorry you and Maddie had such a rough night! Poor baby!

  3. Good morning CM and Rubia. So sorry to hear about Maddie, that doesn't sound good, and you must be exhausted. Poor little girl.

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  4. Hi Rubia! She's a trooper though, the way she is acting right now you would never think anything was wrong with her. I am so hoping that the fever finally broke.
How are you this fine afternoon? Did you have wonderful curry last night?

  5. hi Jcat!
    I am exhausted...But I think that is standard for a mother...lol
Wayne's sleeping right now, I sent him upstairs since I got a bit more sleep than him during the night but I plan to nap today. I have to wait 2 more hours for the dr to open to see if I can get her in.

  6. What time is it there, CM? Are you in the Eastern or Central timezone?

Posted 3 years ago by Rubia in CA, 4/28 #

  7. At least you'll be first on the phone. The early bird catches the appointment! I hope it's nothing at all to worry about and that you're right about the fever. If she's asking for a sucker (is that what we over here call a lollipop?), then maybe she's over it already.

  8. I am in Eastern Rubia. It's just a little after 7am. We change our clocks back tonight though :)
lollipop, sucker..same thing. I like lollipop better, it just sounds nicer :)

  9. Good morning, all!
It's 7:00 here and I've been up since 5:45. I was staying at the dog-sitting house and got up early so I could feed and walk the puppy, go get gas in my car, go home and give Bobby his pill, go get coffee and then be at work at the gym at 7:45. It's much too early and I'm tired!
I think the remaining bosses at work are away and DGT is gone, so hopefully I'll have an easy time at work today.
CM, sorry Maddie is sick again - hope she feels better soon!

  10. I am going to make me some breakfast, my belly is rumbly and then put a roast in the slow cooker so we can have dinner tonight.
I just felt Maddie and she is as cool as a cucumber and just wanted to brush her teeth. So she did and now she is watching a DVD.

  11. She WANTED to brush her teeth? Hmmmm, she MUST be sick! :)

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  12. Gosh, GD, no wonder you're tired too. I hope you do have a quiet day -- but not so quiet that you fall asleep at the desk, lol.

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  13. hi GD!!! You were an early bird too I see. Scritches to Bobby and Mi! It's way to early, even though I am usually up by now, I am very tired.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  14. Yes - hopefully Maddie's fever has broken and she'll be fine! But always best to make sure!

Mr Rubia & I did have a nice curry last night. LOL - I was treated to nice long discussions of the physics of golf and some problem is dealing with at work! Unfortunately, we got into a bit of a "disagreement" toward the end of the meal, which wasn't fun, but at least we got some things clarified that I hadn't realized needed to be clarified. Ah well!

  15. GD, she LOVES to brush her teeth. I do it really good to her teeth at least once a day. She wants her toothpaste on it too and if you try to give her the brush without the paste, she lets you have it. :)

  16. Good morning GD and jcat!

  17. Awwww, Maddie!

Yes, it IS much too early and I overestimated how much time I needed and now have 20 minutes to sit around before heading to work - well, 7 minutes now. Though I got less than 7 hrs. or sleep, I feel more rested than I have been. The boys have been keeping me up and waking me up so much lately, I've been really tired.
I've got the puppy this weekend and starting today after work, I have another friend's dog for 16 days, as well, so I'll be running around between houses, but a least making a bit of money.

  18. Tikka woke us up 4:00 AM this morning - meowing and playing Thundering Herd of Elephants! (How can one cat sound like an entire herd of elephants???) Mr Rubia went back to sleep right away, but I was awake until 5:30. Aarrgghh!

Posted 3 years ago by Rubia in CA, 4/28 #

  19. Alright, it's time for Bobby's pill and for me to get out of here if I want to have enough time to get coffee before work.
    I'll check back later!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  20. Tikka? A herd of elephants? no, not that petite angel kitty! :D

GD, have a good day. We will talk to you later.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  21. Tee hee, you crack me up, GD, have a great day! CM, any two-year-old who enjoys brushing her teeth MUST be a model child!

I thought I heard Jaz being sick before but I can't find the evidence (sorry, gross). No doubt I will find it tomorrow morning, sigh.

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  22. oh jcat..been there and my foot usually finds it before I see it...lol!!

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  23. That is what I am afraid of, CM...

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  24. Could be worse I guess...there are times I didn't find it till it was dry and holy cow..trying to clean that up is worse than if it was still fresh..

hmmmm...I am thinking of having some chocolate...is that bad? It's only 7:30am...

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  25. Not any worse than considering mimosas this early in the morning!

Posted 3 years ago by Shelley #

  26. 7.30am??? Then hot chocolate is a necessity! Is it chilly outside? Then you need hot chocolate. And think of all that extra calcium for Fishie! Hot choc is definitely called for...

I bought marshmallows as well as chocolate for the T or Ters, but since I didn't get any, I can now pop them in my hot chocolate. Mmm.

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  27. A mug of hot chocolate would be good CM. That's breakfast food. Maybe some banana pancakes?? But for my drink, coffee strong and hot. Maddie pictures are adorable. She looked so sweet as did the Queen Mum!

Posted 3 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  28. Just don't mix the two. That does not sound appealing...

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  29. I had some bacon and toast with hot tea and 2 milky way minis...lol

I love hot chocolate and I keep forgetting to make some! Especially with marshmallows :)

Thanks SOM, I am glad she wanted to go out for a little bit. We just took her around to a couple houses.
