Good evening/afternoon!
It's a nice relaxing night here in Ohio, it's already very dark out and it's only 6:45. Dinner, dishes, bath, chores all done :)
Time for a nice hot chocolate with marshmallows...mmmm does anyone have any? lol

Ok, so hubs & I played golf-- met up with some friends ... not a good game for me, but hub shot 72!!! We watched the Bucs game, a nail bitter.. Now going to play with kitties!!! So relaxing ... I love how they are so unconditional love... no boundaries... no commitment to time or schedule

Maddie is okay so far Dorie, she is acting fine, and she took her medicine both times today with no problems. She seems a bit tired, but after the weekend she had and the strep..I don't doubt it.

Hi Abby and Dorie.
Doing pretty good CM. I am supposed to be taking Mock Trial students to training next weekend. Daughter looked at me and said "I'll be okay, I can find rides or walk." I knew about the auditions, but we have a friend she can ride with. I didn't know she had her driving test Saturday too. She will have to get a ride early to auditions and walk 4 miles back to the church for her test. I am not doing that to her. I felt like a horrid Mom because I didn't know all that was going on. Hubby said what about the team. I do want to help the team but we didn't even think I would be able to get through the classes in time to go and get added to the insurance. Last year only 2 kids went. This year 15 want to go, but I think that taking the sophmores and junior only will be benificial--they are the ones competing this season and the continuing ones for next year. Kinda torn up though--either way I let someone down, but she is my only child and she has been so sick.

I'm feeling better not 100% but at least i'm not on the couch wishing I was dying! I'm going back to work tomorrow(my kids are grateful for that)

HI! Mr. WWM is grilling steaks so I am just popping in before he tells me "Bringing 'em in!". Which he usually tells me like two minutes after he puts them on.

It's amazing how much attention our kitties demand!! But we really don't care.. we love them anyway..... Hope Maddie is doing well. My girl is coming home from weekend at Daytona.... 17... you know how that can be difficult.. apparently I get stupider as she gets older... it's getting better .... but sometimes she hurts my feelings so bad; I need to call my MOM, maybe I was just as bad!!

Hi everyone! I'm listening to Richard watch the Broncos game - I can tell by how he yells how well the Broncos are doing! John took Buddy out on the harness two times today - Buddy seemed to like it, once he settled down and the wind in the trees didn't scare him. He didn't like it when a car drove by - they were in the front yard, but since he was on the leash he couldn't run out in front of it so all was good. About two hours later he was out in the back yard, checking things out, and got kind of aggravated by all the different scents - birds, squirrels, and probably a cat as well. Thursday, I came out to go into the garage and hanging outside the garage entry door was a calico - she had Buddy all worked up - I know he isn't neutered and I don't think the calico was either - Buddy wanted out! The calico ran off as soon as I stepped out of the house so he never saw her but he and Leela knew she had been around. When John took Buddy in from the backyard, he was growling at him - I guess he wanted to stay outside! He also had a short escape after that - tricked John into thinking someone was out side the door and when John opened it to look - Buddy ran outside, but John caught him quickly. Uh, oh, I hear Richard watering in the back - doesn't bode well for the Broncos! I gotta go check the score - I'll be back later.

Dorie does this mean you do not recommend doing in your kid?? Mine is ticked at me--she wanted to take off with some guys I don't know and go who knows where. Never have allowed it before--does she think I will change? If her Dad was home it would have been commical! He called her and asked if she needed a boot up her butt.

SM - you can only do so much - and I'm sure your daughter knows she is important to you - but she wouldn't want you kicking yourself so stop! We who are mothers try to do way to much for our kids and can't always because of time - you are a good mom and the most important thing you can do is be there with all the love you have and sometimes you have to send the love when you can't be there in person.

JCat I have someone that can get her to auditions but after that all my friends will be manning the auditions. I will be 3 hours away in Albuquerque. I think the best I can do is stay home and take care of her. The high school teacher will take 8 with her. That gives her plenty of kids to bring info back. My daughter was the only one that brought the taining info home last year. The other girl that went on the trip quit as soon as she got back. Daughter can do most of the training in her sleep, although she wanted to go to the writing part again. She loves writing the opening and closing.

Truly, I believe the best in people ... I do believe that my beautiful daughter will find the best in herself and in me ... it's just hard waiting for her to see that ..... I'm sitting here, now, thinking... I am lucky to be healthy and alive ... the economy may suck, but I have my family and my health, and I know we can make it thru this difficult times... so much of my peace and relaxation come from petting my furrry friends ... Abby and Cuddles.. isn't that what this chat is all about ??!!! ... How many of us just need to chill out and sit down, pet our furry friends and relax... thank all of you for being there to hear me vent, accept me, and make me feel welcome!!

Daughter is working on the fundraising for her trip this summer. The staff know her medical issue and the doctors are being very strict about testing. They will test her again in 3 months as long as she doesn't have another skin erruption of the MRSA. They want to make sure it doesn't go into her bloodstream. In the meantime I have her on honey--oh the horror of it all!! She has been doing good lately.
If I was my Mock Trial team going to training I probably would have to push for alternatives with daughter, but it isn't my team at all. Makes it a little easier for me.

Teaser is not interested in me right now--she is not a cuddle kitteh! Deuter is, as usual curled up with his lady love--the 11 year old wire-haired dashchund. They are too cute!
AV my daughter just came out and plopped down on the couch--she brought her homework out here. She loves her room and can disappear there for days if left alone!
