  2. Morning Jen! What a lovely morn it is here too! I got up and it was 69 and now it is 64. I hope it starts going in the other direction soon! Sun is full in the sky. I hope Maddie is feeling better today. I'll just help myself to this Mexican omelet I see here, put a dollop of guacamole on it and have some strong black coffee, oh yes, and bacon. Have a great week all you TDKers!

  3. Fla. is sunny today! going up to high 70's, low humidity - purrrrrffffect!! Abby is all cuddly this morning, Cuddles even feels better - not so stiff!! I think we'll take a bike ride down the bayshore, two days ago we watched dolphins fishing along the seawall.. really cool - they work in a school, driving fish toward the seawall, then trapping them against the concrete to catch them. Nature is amazing!!

  10. Hi SOM! How are you, Sis? I was thinking about you and SOD yesterday.....

    Posted 3 years ago by BCAMflorida227 #

  11. Morning, all! CM, how is Maddie? Hope she's feeling better.

It's supposed to get up to 65 degrees here today; I don't think Mother Nature knows what day (or month) it is.

  12. Hi Kilroy.
I think she is feeling better now. She's been on her medication for 2 days now, she's running around like normal. She's still not eating a lot but some is better than nothing. Thank you for asking :)
How are you today? How's Georgie????

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  13. Georgie is good, we had a nice weekend. Now if I can just get him to understand the time change so he's not meowing for breakfast at 5am :)

My stupid head still hurts, so I skipped the gym this morning (bad Kilroy!). Working out actually helps my head a little, but it's hard to convince myself of that when I first wake up. I'll make it to the gym tomorrow, defintely (you'll hold me to that, right CM?).

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  14. If it's any consolation, Fred was howling early too, he doesn't understand the time change either.
Gym...right...I will hold you to that :)

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  15. Terri, we were thinking about you guys too! Had a lazy weekend which was great for a change! Enjoy your day off!

  16. Morning all, I'll take some coffee and... let's see... a nice fluffy coonie baby today.

It is supposed to be near 70 today! (Very strange for Michigan this time of year.) No doubt we will have snow by this weekend ;)

Posted 3 years ago by NNGM #

  17. Hi, everyone. Well, it's our spring and we're still having snow down south. I expect the skifields are happy but I'm tired of wind warnings and heavy rain warnings in my area -- no fair, no fair!

  18. Hi NNGM and jcat!
I just saw the weather and it's supposed to be 66 here in Ohio NNGM..Midwest weather don't you love it. It's supposed to be in the 40s over the weekend.
jcat, I would hate the warnings too. Enough is enough :)

  19. Good morning, all!
I got up early and went to feed and walk the dog and now I'm back home. This morning I found about 3 pills that Bobby must have spit out at various times - bad Bobby! I'll have to keep a better eye on him to make sure he's not pretending to swallow the pill (I always look at the sides of his mouth afterwards where he tends to hide it if it didn't go down) and then spits it out later.

I just spoke to DQ (she called me at 7:40 - even with the time change, isn't it kind of rude to call so early?). I had promised EBL to work 2-9, but what I really meant was that I'd do that this week and not forever, but she took it the wrong way. She now wants to give me all sorts of extra responsibilities that I don't want any part of. Well, turns out after she spoke to me on Saturday she called DQ who was out of town and yelled at her the she'd been wrong about me wanting to work just evenings. So DQ called me this morning to ask. I told her what I had meant was I'd help out and do 2-9 for now, but that I don't want it to be permanent. I said what I really want is to work 4:30/5:00 to 9:00 and no more.
Anyway, I'm going to cover 2-9 for this week while they try to find someone else to help at the front. I made it clear that I want to just work the late shift, but we'll see if they fire me instead after the week is over. It may be easier for them to find someone to cover that whole shift instead of just a few hours between when Sean leaves and when I come in. Guess we'll wait and see.
Either way, I'm glad I got that out of the way.

  20. GD, I hope you can get out of that bad work situation soon. As for the pills, boy can I relate! Jerrie was the worst pill taker ever. He would hide them or spit them back at me (and that was after I had worked him into a firm leg-lock to hold him still)! When they came out with the transdermal gel meds that was a godsend for me.

Posted 3 years ago by NNGM #

  21. Morning, GD.

Bad Bobby! Be a good boy so your mom doesn't have to worry about you. She's got enough on her plate.

Did you ever get a new TV, GD?

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  22. No tv yet, Kilroy :( My garage sale going friend looked this weekend, but the only one she found was being loaded into a car when she saw it. Old Boss mentioned that he may have an extra and that he would call me Friday evening about it. He never did call, so I assume he doesn't have one anyway.

NNGM, Bobby fakes the whole thing! He pretends to be a good pill taker and then apparently goes and spits out the pill after I'm done telling him what a good boy he is!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  23. Heh, we always knew Bobby was a smart one.

Posted 3 years ago by NNGM #

  24. Yikes, I just got another call from the gym - I didn't answer it. I know DQ is out running errands so I can only assume it's EBL who is now pissed that I'm not going to work full time - but only because now she's going to look like a fool to DQ. Those two are butting heads and I really don't want to get in the middle of it. I'm SO not looking forward to going in today :(

  25. Tricky old Bobby!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  26. GD, I bless the day they invented that paste antibiotic stuff you just smear on the side of their mouths because even the vet couldn't get pills down Jasper without three of us holding him down. You can't actually smear it on his mouth either -- but if you put it on your finger and hold it out to him, he figures he's getting a treat and licks it off.

At the SPCA they swear that you can tell if the cat's actually swallowed the pill if they lick their lips after you've held their mouth closed and stroked their throat. Apparently it's an involuntary reflex they can't control after swallowing...

  27. Good morning, all. A little late to the cafe this morning. Had to do something when I first got in to work and then I spent time trying to catch up a bit with some other threads.
A croissant and iced tea for me this morning, and a marmie for cuddling.
My two kits were so good this weekend. They were cuddling with me and a bit with each other.

Posted 3 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  28. Hi LK. <croissant and iced tea through the wormhole to LK>

Sounds like you had a good weekend with the kits. George was good this weekend, too, except yesterday he came up on the chair where I was sitting and walked OVER me to get to hubby. Hmph.

Not the end of the world; I'm glad he has someone to majorly snuzzle with, even if it isn't me.

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  29. I just gave Bobsky his morning pill and made sure he licked his lips and watched him for a bit afterwards to make sure he wasn't planning on spitting it up again.

I'm off for a bit to list some books on Amazon - hope they're worth something!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  30. Wow, nice ride down Bayshore -- we always ride to our favorite breakfast diner - a local hole in the wall, but yummy & cheap! Hope everyone is feeling good this fine morning, I'm off to the showers; check in later
