  3. Okay intsinct here's my addition!
    Cheesey Mash Tatoes

8 medium to large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
1 cup butter (or 2 (4-ounce) sticks), cut into chunks
8 ounces shredded Cheddar (Well I use about a pound I like it cheesy! :oD)
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    Salt and freshly ground pepper
    1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
Otional Topping, bacon or bacon bits, sour cream!

Boil the potatoes until the potatoes are tender. Drain the potatoes well. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes by hand, then stir in chunks of butter and shredded Cheddar. Cover and set aside to let cheese melt. Stir in heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, then beat until creamy using an electric beater. Transfer to serving dish and garnish with chopped chives.

Really good can add Garlic in to make cheesy garlic Tatoes!

  9. My grandmother would make Welsh Rarebit the real way. I make a fake one that would horrify the foodies out there. Dunno, tastes just as good to me!

  13. Mozarella wrapped in good prosciutto.
A slice of Parma on home-baked bread with fresh butter.
Goat cheese with just about anything.
On a slice of apple, a Cheddar so sharp that it could have sliced the apple.
Macaroni and cheese with some more of that sharp Cheddar.

I love Brie but it makes the top of my mouth feel funny. Does the same thing happen to anybody else?

Don't feel too weird, Pouncer, a good friend of mine has a real loathing for it. She won't eat anything with cheese in it, not even a spaghetti sauce with a few flakes of Parma on top.

  14. There's a board that I belong to that has over 60 pages of us talking about cheese. I had to make sure I was in the right place. But yes, I like cheese too. When I have my baked potatoes - they are just YELLOW with it. When I was a kid I wouldn't eat it though - I have no idea why.
