Why CaddyCat??? Because I love cats and Cadillacs (especially the older models from the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s.) Alas, sad to say that both cats and Cadillacs from that era are no longer in my life, but I’m pleased that I am blessed today with both in contemporary versions. My human family consists of a grown son and his wonderful wife, a doting and loving husband (who is somewhat younger than I am), and 2 sisters and their families—One in New Jersey and the other in Florida. In-laws live nearby and we help Hubby’s elderly Mom every day. My husband and I live in New Jersey and love to cook, garden and travel. We’ve seen a lot of the US and Canada, and last year we spent 1 month in China. I was born in Europe and came to the US early in life when my family emigrated here. Recently, I took early retirement from a global chemical company where I worked in the areas of imports and global marketing for 29 years. Hubby’s still an executive with the same company.
Our feline family consists of 4 kits, of which 3 were rescues. Abbey and Sweetie are girl kitties. Abbey is a pure black ling haired kit that is the boss of our crew. She’s the oldest and adopted first to our family. She is relatively small compared to our 2 boys. Sweetie is the smallest and ‘sweetest’ of the whole bunch. She’s a lilac point Himalayan, and her name Sweetie describes her disposition. Both Misha and Bear were ferule kittens. They look an awful lot like Main Coon’s with all of the characteristics, but since their patronage is a mystery it’s pretty near impossible to know. We don’t care. We love them all anyway!
