  6. Deb I left my classroom at 7pm. It was a long day. We are doing this school wide election thing--I had to finish grading literature response for them to put on their board. I also have to get copies of their radio ads. Meeting tomorrow with a change of location already! I seem to keep getting tasked to do more--how long before one breaks?

  11. Good night GD, safe trip home KK....

SoxsMom, they always ride the good horses until they break and then they get a new horse! BTDT and now they always seem amazed that I don't want to be a supervisor, sigh.

Ok now we have a winner in the election, so I hope that people are patient and willing to wait for his 1,000 days (yes 1,000 days vs the normal first 100 days after a new president is in office) before the change(s) come to pass. Thats all I will say on this election, didn't like any of the candidates and actually don't trust any of them either but off my soap-box now and will hold my peace!

  15. Deb you have first hand knowledge of McCain--he is from AZ. I have met him several times--LOVE his wife. Both of them have changed stories more than once--fear I feel like Deb. Then again who said you could trust a politician?

Posted 3 years ago by SoxsMom #

  16. SoxsMom, yep never could trust any of them but this one seems particularly bad at least gut feeling. McCain hmmmm I know a few people who have worked for him while in the military, they were impressed with him and I know his wife is very nice actually. Yes both of the candidates changed their stories to suit the audience, sad.

  18. Yes I know,no magic or quick changes,I am glad my candidate won but I am mostly glad this horrendously negative and loooong campaign is over. Have a good night everyone.

  21. G'night ladies, going to go read for a bit myself. Was waiting to see if this lady would send me her address so I could take her some milk for her kids but it hasn't happened yet...maybe in the morning.

  22. It's 10.30p.m. NZ time, no activity here for 4 hours, can you even imagine that...Guy Fawkes night is damp here in NZ, doesn't seem to bother the people letting off fireworks though. ..... time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV, & Tigger begin....good job everyone & bless you...

check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows shut for Northern and Southern TDKers, the weather is so unpredictable in the in-between seasons.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need.
