My husband just told me that Lily passed away last night about an hour after we dropped her off at the other clinic at 7:00pm. They tried calling him but for some reason couldn't get through on his cell.
I loved you Lily....you were such a sweety. I am a mess. This is too hard.

I never knew Lily, but something wet is getting in my eyes.
Lily was so very special, to be so deeply loved in such a short time. She isn't suffering now. Deepest sympathies and empathies with your loss.

"Welcome, dear one," says the Wolf, and he smiles at Lily. "Grandpa Shaddo is over by the oak tree with Norman and Bob, and Mr. Bug will be out to play with you in a few minutes."
A small puppy, who leans against the wolf, looks at her with bright eyes.

Thank you so much Mui for lighting the candle and others who followed. I went and lit one as well and had my 11 year old light one. He is staying home from school today. He picked Lily out of a litter at his grandma's farm when they were three weeks old. He would ride his bike over there or ask for a ride to visit her before she was able to come our house. He already wants to find another cat that looks JUST LIKE LILY and NAME IT LILY...is that good to do? He is very sad though.
Cupcake, I am so sorry to hear about your sweet Lily, rest assured she knew you loved her although her dear life was short. (((HUGS)))

That's a nice tribute to Lily for him to want another one that looks like her and name her Lily. I have had a lot of 'Fritzes' in my life. They were all long-haired brown/black tabbies and I dearly loved each one! Your son is grieving too.

Cupcake, I'm so sorry. I was really hoping sweet Lily would beat the odds. At the end of the year, there will be a big party at the Rainbow Bridge for all the furry ones who arrived in 2008. So many of the cats and kittens were TDK kitties and they will show Lily the way till the day comes when you see her again.
My sincere condolences to your hubby and son too.
