    I'm so glad to hear she's ok! I know how scary that is. That happend to my mom a few months back too. Dad called and said they went to the emergency room because she was having chest pains and it turned out after 2 days of tests that her thyroid had crashed. Now she just has to take medicine everyday and she's fine.
    I hope your mom continues to have good health.

    CTR..I'm just now catching up here and am so relieved that all of this came out for you and your folks. I can only imagine how fearful this experience was for you all. Thank God it didn't turn out worse. It sure seems like a wonderful wake-up call that we can all heed in that each and every day together should be cherished and not taken for granted for we truly don't know what tomorrow may bring. I'm so happy your mom is back home with your father and all's well! =)

    I am so glad to hear your Mom is doing better! My Mom is also elderly and has been ill, so I fully understand how stressful it can be when you don;t know what is happening. My prayers are with you and your Mom, and and am so happy things are better for you both.

    Happy to hear you Mom is doing better. It's always scary when they are elderly. Health can change in a matter of minutes.

    I talked to Mom last night and its not a cyst but a tumor in her thyroid that will need to be checked out. She was in good spirits and says she feels good and and that her heart and lungs are all OK. Daddy is a worry, with all the stress and his problems he fell coming home on Wed night. His legs just gave out. He is frail--I remember what a strong man he was and he could just about anything he decided to do. He built my parent's home himself doing everything--its so hard for me to see him so frail.

    Ah..CTR it's very hard to see our parents become more frail...Be strong for them..my dad passed 16 years ago this month; my mom's had 3 strokes since May 06....it's really hard to switch roles from daughter to caretaker...Always remember that your love and concern is an invaluable support for them and checkin with them often..I know how difficult it is..{{hugs}}
