Hi folks, I'm in Atlanta attending my first ophthlmology conference. My first story, 20 guage sutureless vitrectomy -- don't worry I don't know what it is either :) I've never been in the South before, Atlanta, so far, is a very nice city. Cato is visiting the Aquarium naturally :) Elizabeth

I am here until Wed., but I am jammed packed with covering clinical scientific presentations. I thought it was silly to mention, but now I am just plain excited! :)It is very pretty here. I like the tall buildings next to smaller homes. It's very lovely. I like Atlanta a lot and the people are very nice! Silly, silly me. Elizabeth

I didn't finish my day until 10:00 yesterday :) and I got up at 3am PST, so I feel weird. Decided to walk to the convention center this morning and there wasn't anyone walking around until I got to the convention center. There seem to be places in downtown Atlanta where there isn't anyone.....but still very pretty. Catwoman, I am here through Tues., so maybe we can meet up. Do you know my email? I have never eaten grits, so I will look around and find some soon. Do they taste like rice? I like rice with butter for breakfast :) Elizabeth

Elizabeth, no grits aren't like rice, probably closer to malt-o'meal but they do taste good with butter on them. Oh and Tabasco if you are so inclined (can't imagine them w/o Tabasco myself). Also depends on how they cook them on whether they are soupier or thicker, seems everyone has different preferences with that.

Actually, grits do resemble rice. They are a grain, and are best with butter and salt. Somepeople like them with cheese.!
