My two best friends both lost parents when we were in high school. One died the morning of homecoming our sophmore year and the other our junior year. My Uncle died when we were in 6th grade. We lived next door. Death happens but how it is dealt with makes a difference. I have a feeling it will be a difficult week, but these kids keep on.

Good for them! I was 21 and my brother a week from his 18th birthday when my mom passed away. I can't recall anyone else in my group of friends losing parents or dying themselves. In Denmark we don't get our driver's licences until we're 18 and even then it's very hard to pass the test. I've alway thought that 16 is very early to drive.

GD they actually let them drive here when they are 15! We made daughter wait until the following summer. She has a permit until January and can only drive with a licensed driver over 18 in the car with her. Normally a parent or instructor. In January she gets a provisional license. There are restrictions of how many people can be in the car and when she can drive. If she has no problem in 12 months she is finally issued her permanant license.

Afternoon my friends, very windy here in the Old Pueblo and am I still going to the All Souls Procession Parade tonight.....why yes of course I am. So later on when some blurry eyed critter comes typing across the keyboard, don't be shocked it will only be me :D But my second shift (hey I had 8 hrs in-between) wasn't bad, no agent suicides to deal with so the stressor wasn't there last night...knock on wood.
Reading some of the back threads, SoxsMom your daughter is a good friend besides just being a great daughter and person.
Cheri, don't get discouraged with your recovery, you have come a long way. It just takes time, granted more than we want but it does what it wants too.
