  1. Good Monday Morning/Afternoon to everyone!

Buffet is set up and we have some nice hot goodies for everyone. Coffee, tea and juices are flowing and agency kitties are playful and loving today.

Maddie is going over her grandma's today so I have the whole day to myself! That will be nice. I am planning to rest as per Dr's orders

  2. Hi CM. I hope you have a very restful day. I'll just graze here before leaving on my household rounds. It is a beautiful 48 degree day today in Cent. Fla but should warm up nicely. I hope it is in the hi 60's by 10:00 am., that's when water aerobics start. It is cold for this time of year. Last year we were in the pool Thanksgiving a.m.!

  7. Morning everyone on this chilly morning. Putzing around getting everyone's breakfast ready, Max on his meds for his doc's visit this morning (just to check his levels).

  8. Hello, everyone! Oh, CM, a whole lovely day of rest. I want to rest, too, but I must work to pay the bills. I always blame the cats...I have to work to feed them, etc.

  9. Morning, all!

I'm all discombobulated this morning, as I'm covering the late shift at work and don't have to be in until 2pm. I get off at 10, but then have to be back for my regular start time of 10am tomorrow. Bleah.

Could I get some coffee, please? I've been chasing dust bunnies with the Swiffer (and George's help, of course) and could use a pick-me-up.

  10. Hi again everyone!
Just had to get Maddie up and ready so she can go over Grandma's...of course she wouldn't eat breakfast and was very wired this am.
Now I am making me some breakfast and realizing, I am all alone for 8 hours :)

Deb, how is Max doing? Kilroy, can I borrow George to help me clean :D I hate it and since I am supposed to rest, he can clean my house for me.

  11. Good morning all! Weekend class if finally over, and I'm excited about all we learned. It was cold here last night (I'm in cen. fla. too!), somewhere around the upper 40's... Abby jumped up to cuddles at least 25 times, so I did not sleep well. She wants to sleep right in the crook of my legs, so if I move at all (and I'm a restless sleeper) she jumps down, and I wake up.... then 10 minutes later, she jumps back up to nestle in!!! Needless to say we were up and down all night. She totally jumps over hubby to get to me, so he wakes up, so it's like a circus! I try to lay still, but my legs get cramps, so it's a repeating cycle! I put her little sheep skin bed in a kitty hutch, and put that at the end of my bed, so hopefully that will be warmer for her. She has always slept in her little bed, it's just this cold weather that's throwing her off!! Breakfast..... lets see.... I think I'll have a large coffee with marshmellow cream; and a grilled cheese with bacon and tomatoe!! Sounds yummy doesn't it!!??!!

  12. CM, Max is doing well or at least I think so, his eyes are bright again and he is back to going thru the house. For months now he has stayed in the kitchen on a chair and there was not getting him out of there. Hope he has gained at least some weight and that his levels are good this morning. Get some rest and relax for a bit in your aloneness time :)

  13. Yea for Max!!! Let us know what the vet says.
Are you back on night shift now? I know you hated the day shift :)
I plan to lay on the couch, watch TV, be on TDK, sleep..etc...I have not had this much time alone in years. I am very pleased...I have to admit, I already miss Maddie.

  14. AV, that sounds like a heavenly breakfast! YUM

  15. Hi everyone! It's in the low 40s here. CM, Leela would love to come with George to help you clean. She will stop by George's place first to say hi to Kilroy. She's in her crate all day and the heat is turned way down (construction guys aren't understanding the concept of closing doors behind them), so as long as your house is warm...

Posted 3 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  16. hi Joan..Oh I would love Leela to come visit!! I miss my black kitty, I would love to snuggle with Leela a bit. I just turned the heat up so it's a nice toasty 71 in here. She would be cozy :)

  17. How is everyone today? I hope today finds people well :)

I need to convince myself to wake up so I can do my homework. At this point my coffee seems to be putting me in a deeper sleepyness.

Maby its the hot chocolat with the coffee, it might be too sweet.

*hands out hot chocolat and coffee*

Kizzie and Doxie are good. They now sleep in their cat beds and let me sleep on my bed alone :)

Anyone know a good way to feel more awake? lol. I am not having much luck atm.

Posted 3 years ago by spacecatsgarden #

  18. Chey, I wish I knew the secret to feeling more awake. yum hot chocolate...I love hot chocolate

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  19. CM, maybe George and Leela will do all the cleaning while you get some rest. *George to Leela: "What's inside this vacuum bag thingy?" *POOF! (dust everywhere)* Leela to George: "Let's find out where she keeps the tuna - I just found out how good tuna-water is. Oh, it's under all this stuff." *Empties contents of kitchen cabinet to the floor.* "How do we open it?" "Dunno. Let's run through all this bag-thingy dust, then jump on her and ask." "No! We're supposed to be helping her! Now help me figure out what this nozzle thingy does. Oops! Sorry, did that stuff get in your eyes? You have to shower now! Just shred your way thru the shower curtains."
Moral: maybe the cats shouldn't be left to do the housecleaning!
SCG: I don't drink coffee, so I have trouble waking up too. I have found that even just a few minutes of weight lifting helps rev up your metabolism.

  20. Speaking of cleaning !!! Yuck!! It's Litter day! Eeeeewwwww!!!

  23. Good morning! I cant believe it's Monday already!!!!
I spent most of yesterday working on scrap books for Ron and Loretta. I've never scrap booked before and it's taking longer than I thought. I do enjoy it, though - well, I enjoy the arts and crafts stuff, but the posts I'm working with keep bringing me to tears :(

I just got a call from a lady I used to dog and kid-sit for. I used to stay at her house overnight with her teenage boys when she and her husband went out of town. Anyway, seems the bastard had a midlife crisis, and affair and now has moved out. The poor lady was so upset that when she asked me to dog-sit for her this weekend I had to say yes - eventhough I have at least one, if not two, houses of dog-sitting that same weekend. Arrrrrgh!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  24. Hi GD! I can only imagine how hard it is to read the posts about Renee, but I know Ron and Loretta will so appreciate your hard work on the books.

Be careful with all your running around, don't stretch yourself too thin!

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  25. Thanks, CM. I guess I'm taking all jobs coming my way right now trying to make money so I can get away from the gym.
Another friend just called me to chat. Her husband is a dentist and she was saying how they lost the cleaning lady who cleans his office every weekend. Since I hung up with her, I have been wondering if I should offer to become the new cleaning lady there. I'm thinking between that, dog-sitting and selling the tennis accessories, I could leave the gym. I hate cleaning, but it would be just one day a week and if it would allow me to leave the gym, I wouldn't mind at all!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  26. I hate cleaning too GD, but an office would be better than a house I would think. If you could leave the gym, it might be worth it.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  27. Oop, sorry I disappeared for a bit. Sounds like George has been doing just fine without me, with Leela's help (Hi Joan!).

GD, that stinks about your friend's husband; didn't that just happen to a woman Miu knows? What is it with men? <Kilroy says a quiet thanks that her hubby is well past the midlife idiocy stage, then realizes, some people might consider her a symptom of his somewhat-later-in-life idiocy>

CM, I will be happy to send George along to do your cleaning for you, but I have to warn you he doesn't get much done, just looks cute trying.

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  28. Kilroy, I am always up for cute kitties :)

Sad isn't it that people think grass is always greener on the other side. I always tell Wayne, you can't even handle me, let alone 2 women and he agrees :)
I am lucky to have a man who is happy with his family.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  29. Joan, if it's cold at your place, George would be happy to come snuggle with you; he makes a good warmer-upper. He's just about over his morning crazies and probably ready to settle down.

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  30. Tansey decided to sit on my pillow and PURRRRRRRRRR at about 3:45 am.
