Well tonight I am making a filet of beef with some mashed potatoes and some kind of veggie...I am looking forward to that...I think tomorrow will be veggie beef soup.

I usually like to cook something on the weekends that will last a few days into the week--soup sounds good, too! It got really windy yesterday afternoon and it's only in the 50's today.
They had an article in the newspaper's Food section about rice cookers and I'm thinking about getting one. It has a steamer basket on the top where you can put fish/meat/veggies, too. I'd probably try it a few times and then it would become another small appliance shoved into my bottom cabinet to collect dust :)

Miu, come on over, we always have extra :)
That's me too FH, I see something that would be so cool then after 1 or 2 tries...I never use it. Healthy way of eating though.Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

Hi all, I'm back!
Got out of work anf stopped at Costco on the way home, then had to stop at Publix. Went to walk the dog and then home with my groceries. Packed up two books I sold on Amazon and went to the post office. Now I'm back home and plan on doing as little as possible :) -
Yea GD...can you relax tonight? Stay at home with the boys and chill?

I'll relax, CM. I'm going to go over to the dog-sitting house and hang out for a little while and do some scrap booking and make some dinner. I slept over at the dog-sitting house last night hoping for a good night's sleep, but the dog was as bad as my babies at home about interupting my sleep, so tonight I'll sleep at home.
I bought a nice soft blanket at Costco and when I got home with it, Bobby decided this may make a nice replacement for his old blankie-sucking blankie. I've never seen him suck on any other blankie, so I was a bit surprised. But then again, it WAS a nice blanket!!

Never mind - I guess he's not the only feline broccoli lover out there:

I would think it would be okay for him to eat...I don't know..

I don't think it will hurt Milo, GD. But in my wildest imagination I cannot see my girls eating a vegetable! But you know - Windi would be scared of broccoli!

I found this, GD -
Broccoli
Broccoli toxicity was noted in cattle fed excessive amounts of it. Where the amount of broccoli in the diet exceeded 10% it caused gastrointestinal upsets. Where it exceeded 25% it was fatal. Since no-one is likely to feed a cat this amount of broccoli in the diet there are no reports of broccoli toxicity in cats. Their very different digestive system means they wouldn't digest broccoli as thoroughly as a cow and might not absorb the isothiocyanate toxin. Fed in small amounts, broccoli contains beneficial bioflavinoids.
Cats are not cattle and, being carnivores not herbivores, are not likely to consume sufficient broccoli to cause illness.

We are having Cuisiné deux fois. Doesn't that sound wonderful? It means leftovers but Mr. WWM thinks this makes it more palatable!

Our neighbor cat Gizmo has all sorts of unique food likes and dislikes.
She won't touch milk, likes only one particular variety of dry food and the
only meat I've seen her eat is fish; she turns her nose up at beef & chicken.
I HAVE seen her eat plenty of greens, however. Go figger' * lol *Hi WWM and CM!!!! :)

Hi, Tigger!!!!!!

Well, it's actually leftover crockpot pork. But now I've shredded it, sauteed onions and have the whole mess simmering in barbecue sauce. It's junk food and a movie night!

Hi Tigger!!that sounds yummy WWM...I just bought a well it's like a loin of beef...so we are cooking that right now and making dinner..
Maddie just fell asleep about 20 minutes ago now we are wondering if we let her sleep or get her up. She is exhausted but we want her to sleep tonight. Sigh..I need a parenting handbook.

CM, I have tried to dig back in my gray matter from my pedi nursing days to see if I can think of anything that might help with Maddie. I was hoping that it was due to her medication but I guess not. That's a mystery about her sleeping on the floor. And yet, I can't help but feel that it would be a mistake to put her back in her crib at this point.
I don't know - it's 6:00 pm there, right? Seems like maybe it would be better to go ahead and get Maddie up and have her eat some dinner. Then try all of the bedtime rituals.
It must be so hard to let her cry at night but it does sound like maybe she is starting to soothe a bit and go back to sleep.
*sigh* What to do?

If I had to guess it's the Providence Medical Center. They're the only one I see listed with a Cardiology Center. Prayers to Karenopa and her family.
