Yea, TDK is back up!!! I feel like I lost yesturday!Got up early this morning, and took daughter to Orland to visit college (UCF) that she will be heading off to in June! Beautiful campus, dorms as nice as hotel rooms!!! Sure beats the dump I lived in when I went to college!!...... let's see.... catching up.... have to tell you all my adventure yesturday taking Cuddles to the vet... I told you a few weeks ago she is "spot" peeing around the office instead of using her litterbox, so I know she is trying to send us a message.... My wonderful TDK family advised that she might have a UTI, so I made an appt. to take her in and get her checked out. Now remember that "Cuddles" is the antithesis of her name - I finally got her in a carrier and off to the vet. I warned the when we got there that she was "difficult", and they needed an extra assistant. Vet wanted to know why she hadn't been in for 3 years, so we updated her shots.... only two large growls and one twist to bite (she was being calm -ha!) They tried and tried to get a urine sample, but she just wouldn't let them. So, the vet suggested that I leave her for awhile, and she would call me in a couple of hours after they got the sample. Finally, 3 hrs later, the vet called and said to come get her immediately, she was "freaking out". I asked did you get the sample? No she said, there has been an "incident"! So I jump in the car and zoom over there. I could hear her from the moment I walked in the door.... her loud growl, scream is very distinctive. I went to the desk and told them I was here to pick up Cuddles... the lady runs in the back and yells "she's here"... I'm thinking what could possibly have happened. The attendent comes out carrying her in her box... I can hear growling, hissing, and the box is shaking with her trying get through the top the whole time.... he said they never could get a sample... somehow she clawed her way out of the cage .... clawed her way into a medical supply cabinet and holed up way in the back under a bunch of boxes of supplies. Took two attendents to pry her out, one got bitten (twice) and the other's has shredded arms & hands. Needless to say they were thrilled so see her go. I appologized, reminded them that I had warned them, and said "now you see why she hasn't seen a vet in three years!!!! So anyway, they gave me an antibotic to give her.. said it would cure a UTI if she had one, but wouldn't her to take it if she didnt have one. I took her home, where she immediately jumped out of the box, hissing her way all upstairs to daughter's room and promptly went sound asleep in her bean bag. What a pleasant afternoon!!!! (LOL)
