awwww.. how cute!
I still remember back when Mamma Kitty had her four kittens and all the cats were pretty much house cats. I think I told this story before, but it never hurts to tell it again.
My roommate wanted a Christmas tree that year. The kittens were into everything, and were basically little four legged terrors at that point. There was nothing in that house that was safe from them.
So when my roommate mentioned getting a Christmas tree I asked, "What about the kittens?"
He replied, "We'll just put it up out of reach of the kittens."
Out of reach of the kittens??!! I think somebody here once mentioned thinking about putting a Christmas tree on the ceiling. But even that wouldn't have been safe from those furry little nightmares.
So, after I finished laughing, I wiped the tears from my eyes and asked, "Seriously, what about the kittens?"
My roommate really thought that the Christmas tree would be safe from the kittens. While they never climbed the tree (it was too small), they did knock it over once or twice, and I was constantly having clean up broken ornaments and redecorate the tree. But it was a lot of fun and I am glad we got the tree.
