  1. I have a huge pile of old (clean) nylons that I'm about to throw out. It occurred to me that some clever people use them to stuff their craft projects. If anyone wants these, drop me an email - djlucas at cox dot net. I'll cover shipping rather then just toss them out.

  2. Sorry for this, CBM, I can't help myself.... Old nylons work real well as masks for any of us who plan to rob the 7-11....

  3. My Mom used to cut up nylons or pantyhose and stuff them with more nylon, sew them up and they made great cat toys. Rub a little catnip on them or in them and there you have it. Instant mice.

  4. This made me smile...I have an old patchwork quilt left to me by my grandfather's sister. Some of the stitching came apart and there was the stuffing--old nylons, the type that were worn before pantyhose and had to be attached to garters. It made me happy to think that these were nylons that she actually wore, like a small part of her was here.

  5. I know this is somewhat of a strange thought process, but we used old nylons to make our Young Life staff a costume for "Boy George" of the '80's... We had to dress one of our actors up as him, so we used old nylons and braided them together to make the braided hair he used to wear LOL!! Who knew it took so many old "stockings" to make one dooooo
