My kitty is 12 weeks old. She likes to go potty (#2) in the bathtub. We closed acces to them, and then she went in my sink. She goes in the cat box, but in and out -- she doesn't cover up.
I think maybe her little feet are so sensitive that she can't stand it. But I don't know. Anyone with any issues?
thanks,

if you think it might be her sensitive feet i would try a paper type litter, something not so hard..there are some good people for advice here that i am sure can offer better then i can!

If you have access to a paper shredder, you can shred newspapers. If you put that on top of the regular litter, she'll get use to the smell of the litter (make sure you aren't using perfumed litter - many cats find it overpowering). You can also put one box in the tub. She is obviously trying to behave - if a 2nd box is in the tub with some paper or softer litter, she'll get use to using it. When you are comfortable that she's using both boxes then you can slowly change the ratio of paper to clay litter until she's weaned from the paper. Then block off the bathroom again.

Cats who have a problem with using a litter box are often sick in some way. When was the last time you had this kitty to a vet? Also, you must make sure the litter box is clean all the time. Cats are very clean and will not go if the box is not changed or cleaned on a regular basis. Clean every day. Washed every week.

Welcome to the world of Cuddles. Even when she's in prime health (and attitude), she is a "poop and runner". Can't be bothered to stay around long enough to cover it.... just poops and goes, I call her a "Top Pooper". I tried paper litter, and that made her even madder, so she did it on the carpet. I went back to her favorite brand. So, if I don't keep it meticulously clean & scooped, I get a "present"... lovely! The past couple of weeks, I've yet again battled her with the "spot peeing" game, and like many above have suggested, it could be a health issue... UTI or something of the like. Whatever, good luck with your baby, they may try our patience, but we love 'em!
