  5. Rats, firewall blocks youtube stuff and no computer at home. *stomps foot* How long can one live a life of total chaos before cracking up? *deep breaths* Sesame Street went on the air when I was in kindergarten so I was just the right age for it - loved it!

  12. I was a big fan of "Romper Room" every time she held up that magic mirror, I waited for her to say my name...she never did..(sigh)

  13. "We're gonna turn it on. We're gonna bring you the power. . ."

I absolutely LOVED that show and would run home to watch it each day. Years earlier, it was 'Dark Shadows' (which my mother made me stop watching because I would get scared)
Anyone else remember the Schoolhouse Rock music commercials that would play on Saturday mornings? They brought them back a few years ago, but I'm not sure if they still play them. Boy, I know the preamble, to this day, just because of them!

  19. I was a Sesame Street child - the first thing I ever saw on colour TV was Big Bird. And I used to love Oscar the Grouch and insisted on pronouncing his name with an American accent to my family's amusement. eg Arrrrscar. Must have been a sign that I would marry an American!

  20. If we didn't pronounce it as Arrrrscar she would stamp her feet and shout at us and cry. Our brother loved to tease her by saying it incorrectly. We still remind her of that regularly.

  29. You know what I really miss?? The Sid & Marty Croft shows like Sigmond the Seamonster & Puffinstuff! Those were wonderful kids shows. I found some on them on VHS a few years ago and had lots of fun with them when Will was little. So cool to kind of pass that torch.

Posted 3 years ago by debsterwiz #

  30. OMG Deb...Wayne and I talk about those all the time. HR Puffinstuff with witchy poo :) The Banana Splits....
