DJ is another "her",AV. Mean doesn't quite describe her. But I have to grudgingly admit that she must have been doing something right as Dean of my College of Nursing. We had some of the highest passing rates on our nursing boards in the state.
She had this huge poodle named Dolly. There was a pretty little courtyard at the school that would have been a nice place for us students to eat lunch or visit. But nooooooo - that garden was the exclusive domain of Dolly. At graduation, right after the last nursing student had received their diploma and had returned to sit down, we all threw a massive amount of dog biscuits at the stage. It gave us some small satisfaction :-)

...... Dolly might need to learn to do toilets....
1) Open both toilet lids
2) gets Dolly's attention with a treat
3) stand behind toilet and throw treat in bowl
4) dogs will not hesitate to dive in for treat
5) flush as soon as she dives in
6) dog bolts through house for door
7) toilet and floor still need to be mopped, but it was worth it!LOL< LOL

LMAO, AV! That was funny! Also funny was your mentiong that postum is like ground up tree bark to coffee drinkers! I am glad I have never tried it. I had my physical back in October but it wasn't a normal physical. The doctor hardly touched me! No eye or ear or throat inspection, only the pushing in the bladder/abdominal area. I am going to change my doctor/location so I can see about getting a better physical done. She did shedule me for dermatology exam since my Dad had melanoma twice in the past two years and my being of fair skin and burned badly a number of times from when I was a kid and into my teens.
I had two of my Grand Aunts working in the nursing profession. One was a nurse anesthetist and the other was a medical records nurse. If I had taken them up on their offer to pay for my schooling, I might have been a nurse as well. Unfortunately I was young and foolish and didn't take them up on their offer. I have a cousin who is a Anesthesiologist and is married to a nurse. I think I have heard them use the term medical profession for both doctor and nurse. My hats off to all the nurses as you helped my family at various times and your job is a tough one with dealing with the patients as well as the doctors (some who have huge egos and like to push the nurses around).
Two and half hours more of work.

Hey all! I got my big project done this morning and then I took a long lunch hour and had a facial! I had won a gift certificate back in June and finally decided to use it. Oh my word, I so feel like all is right with the world. It was at an upscale medical spa. It was an hour long facial that included hand, neck and shoulder massages. The table was heated and they wrapped me up in a cozy blanket and had my hands in warming mits. Heaven. They even did my make-up afterward since I had to come back to work. I am going to treat myself to a facial again even if I have to start saving my pennies in a piggy bank!

I've got 53 minutes left before Cesar comes in to close for me and then half an hour to make it to the Christmas party. Yay! I am SO having martinis!!!! :)
Tomorrow I'm going - again - for my "day of Beauty". Hopefully noone will send me home this time!!! I checked and checked again, and it seems to be all set. I just hope this woman is good at what she does!!!

I love facials!!! Hubs usually gives me one for Christmas every year... I've been going to the same girl for over 15 years, and she's wonderful... always come home floating (not walking)... so relaxing. I hope "SantaHubbs" has that in store this year, if we can afford it! :(

I've never had a facial, but KYKat sure makes it sound nice!
I went and picked up my mail today and a bunch of Christmas cards - yay! I sent out a bunch yesterday and today. I just may finish before Christmas! I was going to get a tree today, but didn't have the time, then I thought I'd do it tomorrow, but now I'll have to go for a haircut and coloring that'll take all day. Thursday and Friday I have tennis.
The other front desk guy called and asked me if he could work the next two Saturdays because he needs to make some money. I've been working all of them and then Sundays cleaning the dentist's office, so I jumped at the idea, even though it means I won't make as much. I need some time to myself.
