Morning CM, tired as all get out this chilly morning and time is dragging like you wouldn't believe.
Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #
Good morning TDKers. I'm dragging myself. Got hubby's sinus junk and head feels like a piano sitting on my shoulders playing a march! Just some juice and tea please. Have a great day everyone.

Hi Deb, Siobhan and SOM!
I hate when work days drag. Hopefully you can go home soon Deb and get snuggly warm with your kitties.
Siobhan..what kind of jewelry do you make? *hands Siobhan a big breakfast with a side of Orange kitty :)*
SOM, I hope you feel better soon. It never feels good to have a piano on your shoulders.

Hello! Scrambled eggs and hot tea this morning. Brr...we're talking cold here.
My knee is aching this morning, so I've already taken some pain reliever. It will help, but I'd rather fix the problem rather than just take care of it temporarily.
Well, I've got my Christmas cards and am ready to address them, but I'm waiting for some special return address labels I've ordered. I hope everyone doesn't mind if their Christmas cards arrive just before Christmas or a little after.

Hi all! Warm front came thru today; it's in the 50's already with rain and wind. I'll take that over bone chilling cold and ice any day.
LK, stay warm.
Anyone remember the 60s folk group Peter Paul and Mary? Well Paul was on the local radio station this morning. Got to hear a couple of their tunes as well as Paul and his daughter do a remake of Puff the Magic Dragon. It was pretty cool.

Hi LK and Joan!
It's snowing here Joan..we had the rain yesterday now it's BRRRRRRR chilly :)
LK, it's the thought that counts, whenever we get your card, it will be a nice pleasure. I hope your knees are doing okay today.
Joan, I have heard of Peter Paul and Mary..I am sure I have heard their songs too. I like some of the 60's groups..good music.

I enjoyed Peter Paul and Mary. I also love the song Puff the Magic Dragon.
Refill on the hot tea, please, and then I have to get to work.

I remember the cartoon Puff the Magic Dragon and I always cried.
*more tea to LK*

Sorry I was away...we do resale and make some of our own stuff. My husband makes lampwork beads and fused glass pendants (he will have more time after he retires next Friday). We sell Touchstone Pottery, a line of porcelain pendants and earrings, with celtic designs. Including celtic cats :-)
http://www.touchstonepottery.net/jewelry
He doesn't have the three new designs up yet: celtic dogs, celtic cats, celtic hearts.
We also sell sterling silver rings, amber with sterling silver rings, gemstone and sterling silver earrings and pendants.
We hope to have a website built in 2009, I will definitely share that with you, and we also want to start selling on Ebay in 2009.
CM, so it's not just me? I get choked up on lots of tunes, particularly Christmas tunes, and Puff gets me every time! Newly added to the list are "He Ain't Heavy (He's My Brother)" and "Time Of Your Life" as they were part of the firefighters' slideshow dedicated to my uncle. Weird isn't it? How you could like a song so much it makes you cry?

Because it touches your heart, Joan. I remember those songs too. They were good times back then. Siobhan, the designs sound great. Hi Av, cm, lk and all. Hope everyone has a good day!

Joan, IKWYM. I heard a song by Frank Sinatra yesterday and it was one of his last recordings of an old song, and it gave me pause. I immediately teared up. I am so glad we are privy to all his music. I love all his years, he has earned every one of them. I love all the standards and the new singers that are singing them. I'll get down off my soap-box now! Ciao!

Siobhan, these pieces are beautiful!

Hi, everyone! I haven't been on for a while - when richard has no work, i have to share the computer and then listen to him complain about everything - today he has work! YAY!!!
John has been taking Buddy out on the harness more often lately and told me yesterday that when he grabs the harness Buddy runs to the door, all excited to go out. He is so much fun to watch when there is snow on the ground like there is this week - he absolutely loves being out in the snow!! Leela doesn't like being outside at all so we don''t even try to use the harness on her - she is only comfortable outside if she is being held and if she gets put down she runs for the door to get back inside. We took some pictures over the weekend and as soon as the film is done - I think we have about 12 pictures left - I'll have one of them up as my 'gravatar'(is that the right term?). I'm looking forward to sharing with you all how sweet my "grandkits" are!

Looking forward to seeing your grandkits on your gravatar, Karen!

Thanks, Joan. Buddy looks like TIKKA - in fact when I opened Rubia's card and was looking at Tikka's picture, John and some of his friends were asking when I took the picture of Buddy and then they realized it wasn't him. Leela is a Maine Coon and is now coming up to me for more attention than she does with John. Last night I went into the garage to say something to John, Buddy had been on his lap and just flew off to come to me! Kind of made John mad!! But Buddy knows who's really important!

Siobhan, the jewelry is beautiful. I am looking forward to the new website and am partial to amber - can't wait to see more.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening? to everyone! Just got into work about an hour ago, woke up with a raging headache! (I know how you feel SAOM!) Its the strangest warm here today, same weather as JFNJ I believe, sixties and rainy! Oh and the wind! Jeepers! Wish the wind could have blown my headache away, instead of blowing my recycling bin all over the porch! I know it couldn't have been ricin's favorite buddy, "Big Boy Squirrel", he only ruins my porch when there is some food to be had! Thats a whole other story folks! Sorry I'm kinda blabbering here...
The whole buffet would do me just fine CM! And some pickles too please! hehe
Oh, and maybe we could invent a new migraine medicine that is actually SAFE to take during pregnancy! Cuz I would love to get me some of that!
Posted 3 years ago by jordililly8 #
JL, hope you kick that headache soon. Are you in the city? The skyscrapers seem to make the wind whip around even more. Here in the mountains, we worry about trees coming down. So you have a big boy squirrel? We have "fatty the squirrel". "Tree rats" as my Dad called them.
Posted 3 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #
JL - watch out for those squirrels - the summer before last - i had one plant his own sunflower in my minature roses! It was funny when we realized who had planted it - of course in his mind he was just hiding a seed for the future - I am amazed that we haven't found peanut plants growing based on howmany peanuts we would leave out for him and see him hiding them - i know we played with his mind because we would go and find them and put them back in the bowl!

Hi JFNJ! We are more in the suburban area, outside of Boston, but I can't believe it! I feel like I'm in Chicago with this wind! Its quite an eerie day!
Yup, ricin looooves his squirrel friend. We named him "Big Boy" cuz he is very chubby! he obviously knows how to find his food! Ricy watches him out the window alllll day, and just wishes he could go out and "play" with his lil friend! its very funny, I don't think ricy could get any closer to the window, his poor lil face must be sore afterwards! hehe

Hi everyone...sorry to have disappeared. Got Maddie off to Grandma's, took a shower, threw a load of towels in the wash, then started sorting clean baby clothes so I can put them in Abbie's room when we have it done..Next thing you know it's 11am...Holy cow.
Siobhan, I love your jewelry! I love the whole Celtic thing and I know hubby would like the Arthurian things.
Karen..it's good to see you. Glad to see Richard is working.
JL...I got the worst headache early on in my pregnancy and it lasted for almost 3 days...it was caffeine withdrawal..Since they say no caffeine during pregnancy...well guess what...After that headache with nothing to help me, I drink caffeine. I have hot tea every morning..occasionally I have some pop too but I will never go through that headache again. I almost had my hubby take me to the hospital.
Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #
Hi KC! That is soo funny! These squirrels definately know what they are doing! "Big Boy" loves teasing ricy! I'm gonna have to go see if he planted any treats for us! Thanks, thats a great story!
Posted 3 years ago by jordililly8 #
tee-hee Karen! The tree rats (we call them that in a loving way) usually eat the sunflower seeds that I plant! They are fun to watch.
JL - Leela loves to watch the squirrels too. And the birds of course. She chatters at them; it's so cute. As soon as construction is done, I can relocate my lighthouse birdfeeder to where she (and me!) can see it from the kitchen window. I usually feed the birds from December till about mid March. I love seeing all the different types of birds that come to my yard, especially when it's snowing, it's so beautiful.
The rain is really coming down. So glad I don't have to worry about a leaky roof and water coming in the house. We limped along with it for a long time till we were able to renovate - buckets, towels, the works. Water would run down the walls and parts of the ceiling eventually came down. This project is a long time coming! We've been in our house 20 years in January.

Hi CM! I know the feeling! I have suffered from migraines for a few years now, and when I found out I was pregnant, that was the first thing i was worried about! I have the occasional Tylenol with a shot of coffee, and like you said, it works quite well! Thank you for your advice! I'm just worried for what might happen if i get an actual migraine! YIKES! I used to get the nausea and vomiting every time! It was aweful!
