  1. Angela, Woo Hoo glad that CoCoPuff had the good sense to come in from the outside and be safe!!! The Feliway should make your long drive a bit more peaceful for everyone. Really glad that you can feel relief now that all your furrbabies are home again ;D

  3. Angela, YAY YAY YAY! I'm so glad to hear you got him again!

And you probably don't need a reminder, having learned this painful the hard way. But it's an important note: When you go to move, have ALL the cats crated up securely first, before you ever open the door to take the first cat out to the car. Also, DON'T uncrate them en route, no matter how much they wail (if they do).

Once you get to the new place, and have all the crates indoors, THEN you can uncrate kitties, one by one.

Please let us know how the move goes. And definitely thank Dolores for continuing her good works with the TNR population!

  5. Okay --- I like this part --- where I get to say "I told you so" about God and that gutwrenching last minute thing. Sorry, but been there a gazillion times. And CoCoPuff probably wasn't fussing about you capturing him, he was just fussing because it took you so long.

My heart is overflowing with Joy for you and your prodigal sons, the Lost & Found Boys. Now you're a family again....and family is everything.

  9. Oh Frabjous Day Calloo Callay! Prayers have been answered. Good luck in the move and I look forward to hearing from you when you are settled and can report in. Belly rubs and head kisses for your whole brood.

Oh have you told Delores about Daily Kitten? We would love to hear from her and her continuing adventures with the colony.

  11. Hi all,
We're just about to pack the computer, so I'll be away for a few days. Your support was invaluable -- and the advice was great. I kep being struck by how much alike we think about things like this, although we may not have much in common in "The Real World" (or maybe we do -- I'm looking forward to finding out).

I have thanked Dolores, promised ongoing help by mail and phone, am leaving a small subsidy in the form of a big bag of kibble and lots of contacts and literature. I've told her about DailyKitten, but she has no computer and is computer-phobic as folks are before they try it. I think getting to the internet, via a public library, could change her life and I plan to nudge in that direction. For a teaser, I'm going to print out this thread and give it to her.

The kitties were aboslutely ecstatic to see CocoPuff. They were kissing and hugging like I've never seen. Almost all of them pinned us down on the bed last night, and His Skittishness is now a very affectionate fellow all of a sudden. I WILL get them all contained before the movers arrive, and NOT open the kennels for any reason. The Feliway seems to be helping -- I sprayed a large towel and spread it on the bed. The movers are packing now, and everybody (feline) is locked in the bedroom away from it all.

I'm off -- see you all in a few days, if we can manage to locate the computers once all this stuff gets delivered. I forgot to buy labels...wonder why?

Kiss your kitties for us. They can probably feel the good energy emitting from Chattanooga, too.

  12. Good luck, good packing, and hugs and kisses from all of us.

As soon as you get settled, give us an update, dear.

    Much love,
