  1. Yay - I've finally risen from my sickbed to post the photos from Glasgow! We really had a great time - it was fantastic seeing MCW again and to meet both Miu and Metsa! Unfortunately, I started coming down with a cold on the Monday so I was not feeling my best. The cold his 110% on Wed, and this is the first day where I've felt up to posting.

Anyway - here are the picture from a really wonderful couple of days!

  2. Wow!!! I love them!!! Beautiful street photos and the 4 gorgeous ladies of TDK!!!! Nice to put faces to Miu and Metsa! Looks like you guys had a great time. Not to mention the chocolate!!

Rubia, Miu is sick too, I wonder if you all caught something in Scotland. I hope you feel better soon.

  3. I'm in awe at such Beautiful pictures you got of the 4 of you. The smiles on your faces clearly say you had a good time. It's great also to put faces to yet more of our TDK Family!!!

Rubia & Miu....hoping you heal up fast so you can enjoy all that chocolate & the rest of the holidays!.

I don't know if it's just me or what, but, it seems every time I see a new picture of Rubia or MCW...that they keep looking younger & younger. Anyone else notice that?

  4. Nice pictures Rubia! Love to see the smiling faces with the names. The picture of the Glasgow Station shows the really nice architecture of the building. MCW, you have lost weight? That is so great you all got to meet in Scotland. I hope to go there one day soon. There sure is a lot of chocolate in one of those photos. Yum! Hope you and Miu feel better, Rubia.

  10. Thank you Rubia for sharing your beautiful get together. I love seeing TDKers joining one another to celebrate in the name of kitties! Glasgow is very beautiful...I've never been there but Jeff says he's been there three times. I'm jealous!!! Please get well you guys..I hate to hear you're all so sick with colds! =)

  12. Thanks Rubia for getting these up! The meet was great, and Rubia, MCW and Miu were as wonderful as you'd expect :). curled up on the sofa now under a blanket, cold is doing great, I sadly am suffering a bit :p.

  13. Love the pictures!!! I'm so happy to see pictures of Miu and Metsa! Rubia, your pictures make Glasgow look so beautiful. We have been there and I must have been looking at it with different eyes because it looked a bit dingy. I see that I should have been looking at night!

MCW, I do believe that you have lost weight. Whoo-hoo!!!! Must be the chocolate diet!

Now, I will tell you all a secret. Mr. WWM is totally entranced by Rubia's hair. He told me that when we met in London that it was all he could do to keep from reaching out to touch it. I might have been jealous had I known but I was too busy plotting to throw MCW overboard.

  14. lol WWM..There is your Christmas gift to Mr. WWM..a lock of Rubia's hair :)

Metsa...we didn't get to see a picture of your ring!!! Ladies..help us out here...what did it look like?

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  15. I look younger?

    I look thinner??

Feral, SMM & WWM - I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Glasgow was absolutely brilliant, it's always fun seeing Rubia, and it was great to meet Metsa and Miu and put real live faces to names! And my hernia from lugging all that chocolate up to Scotland is much better thank you...

But you may have noticed I too have been missing from TDK since - not down to the dreaded cold, which I (touch wood) seem to have escaped, but an ongoing problem with post flight motion sickness which is becoming a right pain. Some new tablets suggested by my doctor failed to control it at all, and by Thursday night I was pretty poorly. I'm back on the old tablets now, they're not 100% effective, but I can at least function!

Sorry to hear you got struck down Metsa, and CM, you say Miu's not well either? Get well soon both of you. Rubia I guess you're beginning to feel better, thanks for being our official photographer and posting the pictures!

  16. Metsa's ring is beautiful CM - really delicate and pretty!

  17. I was wondering where you went to MCW...boy, all of you were struck down by something. Miu has a fever and all that goes with it...she posted on the cafe thread..she should see a Doctor. I hope she is resting with the kitties right now.
I never have heard of post flight motion sickness. wow. I hope you get better soon too.

  18. What great pics!! You all look so happy...was it the company, the Bailey's or the chocolate???:) I'm glad you all had a great time; sorry some of you are under the weather! Feel better soon!

Posted 3 years ago by sullis #

  19. Thanks CM & Sullis. The motion sickness is really weird, it's a bit like feeling you're on a boat, and I'm pitching and rolling in my head. And that pressure thing you feel when a plane's taking off - all in waves. When it happened a few holidays ago I thought it was a one off, but it's happened everytime I've flown since, so I now have tablets ready with me. It wears off after a few weeks - usually - but I think flying to and from Scotland so soon after Egypt aggravated it. Never mind, it was worth it!!

"The company, the Bailey's or the chocolate?" - all three Sullis!! :o)

  20. I thought so!!!! :0)
    Feel better!

  21. Eewww - that sounds awful,MCW! I prescribe drinking ginger tea.

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  22. Ginger tea? Yeuch! I was kind of hoping chocolate would do the trick...today I finished the giant milk chocolate bar Miu gave me, still have the plain one to go!!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  23. *puts on nursing cap and wire rimmed glasses to add to trying to look authoritative*

Ginger is known to settle the tummy. I used to tell my hospice patients who were undergoing chemo to drink it. Gingerale will work, too, if it is strong in ginger.

I somehow don't think that chocolate will do the job.

  24. Ohhhh, looks like you all had a wonderful time! Great pictures, Rubia!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  25. But it's not a tummy thing! I don't actually feel like throwing up (well only on Thursday when the giddiness was so strong) - it is just a head thing!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  26. But, WWM, chocolate fixes almost everything!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  27. Beautiful photos! I love the peacock. You all look wonderful!!

Posted 3 years ago by gini #

  28. Hmm, well then, I actually don't know what to tell you and so I will defer to GD. Eat Chocolate!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  29. Thanks GD, I owe you one!! :o)

  30. Could it be an inner ear infection?
