Opens door, peeks in, brings in the Buffalo wings, taco sauce, eggs, stuff for omelets, chips and dips and all things to make a great brunch. Turns on the coffee urn, heats up the water for tea. Anyone hungry out there?

Good morning, Everyone! It's so warm here today that Mr. WWM and I have been out in the yard attempting to clean out the flowerbeds. My lantana just goes ballistic every year and gets huge. But the first frost kills it back and it looked very unsightly. I cut it back to the ground and it will come out from the roots next year. We thought that we had better do it while we had a pretty day. Tomorrow is supposed to bring another cold front.
I'm off to take a shower because I feel pretty grungy!

WWM, we had lantana and didn't treat it with respect and tore it all out! *sob*. It was the yellow one. I would like to get the pink one and start again. I had no idea how to prune it etc, and it was growing up a tree in
a flower bed. Where do you have your lanatana planted?Posted 11 months ago by SammyandOliversmama #

SOM, I pretty much have lantana in all of my beds because it is one plant that requires no "dead heading" and is very drought and wind hardy. It loves full sun, or at least five hours of sunlight. And lantana never seems to care how hot it gets. I have lots of the yellow and it seems to be the most hardy. My pink lantana with yellow centers just went nuts this year. But the pretty deep orange didn't do as well. I cut it all the way back to the ground and mulch around the roots and it always comes back. Actually in our zone, lantana is listed as an annual but it really doesn't act like an annual. If it gets out of hand during the growing season, it doesn't mind a harsh hair cut at all. Really, it is one of the lowest maintenance plants out there.

Good morning, it is freezing here as below zero with terrible windchills. My dog will not go outside I have picked him up and carried him out and he runs back in. If I thought Tessie would let him use it I"d train him to litterbox. some small dogs can be trained to use them. I haven't found any evidence of misdeeds but I'm sure its here somewhere. I have been trying to plug any holes that cold air is coming through. My brother did get my new furnace in last week and I'm really thankful for that.

Goodmorning all, it's a quiet and overcast start to Monday for us. How about a platter of fresh seasonal fruit, gold and green kiwifruit, strawberries and fresh cherries.
