  1. I'm quoting from Allnurses forum,I think Beth is probably too upset to post;
    "the vet called me and told me kizzy took a turn for the worst. i went down and held her she meowed like she knew i was there. i told her i loved her and it was okay to go to heaven. they gave her the shot and i held her as she passed away. i am sad and very lonely and miss her. she is not suffering anymore , but i am. i kissed her and held her and told her how much i loved her. my heart is broken"

    Thanks so much everyone.

  10. Beth, I am so sorry about Kizzy. She is not suffering anymore. She gave you 14 years of love and companionship and she will always be in your heart. Kizzy is now with many of our babies who have gone ahead and they will comfort her. We feel your loss like it's our own, since we have been there before ourselves. Hugs to you.

  14. Beth, I'm so sorry to hear the news. Hard as it was, though, you made the best choice for Kizzy. It's a great kindness and merciful to relieve suffering, when nothing else can be done to help.

    My heart goes out to you.

  15. I believe our pets who have gone ahead are still with us in spirit. Beth, hug all your wonderful memories of your sweet cat.

  16. Beth, I am so sorry about sweet Kizzy. I was hoping for that Christmas Miracle too. Please know that in your grief, you are surrounded by TDK white light comprised of people who care and understand. Kizzy doesn't hurt anymore and is warmly greeted by many TDK kitties, who, at the Rainbow Bridge, have welcomed all animals, including those who never knew the love of a human. Kizzy was one of the lucky ones.

  20. Bless you Beth, you did the sweetest thing you could for your dear Kizzy. I know how your heart hurts, we all have lost our beloved friends. Please know she's not in pain, and she DOES know that you miss her.

  21. Oh no, poor sweet Kizzy. Beth I'm so sorry. Even though I don't know you or Kizzy I do know how much it hurts to lose your best friend and I do know that good people love their pets as much as you do. Allow yourself time to grieve and don't let anyone tell you she was "just a cat" like I've had people say to me. We all know that is the farthest from the truth.

  22. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your furr baby. There are many of us who know your pain and are here to help you carry the burden. I hope someday you have the strength to share your love and home with another furry one who so desperately needs you.

  23. Beth, I am heartbroken to read this. We were all praying for a Christmas miracle. You gave Kizzy so much love, and she returned by loving you. We all know the pain that you are feeling and hope that you will come here for support.

    I lit a candle for little Kizzy.

  24. Beth, I'm so sorry for your loss. You gave Kizzy the best of gifts--a full happy life and the knowledge that she was loved to the very end of her life. I believe she is now on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge with all of our kits who've crossed. We have two TDKers who've passed. We know that they are on the other side welcoming Kizzy along with our furry angels. They will show her where the catnip grows and where the butterflies play. She will be waiting for you to join her when your time comes. Bless you for the care and love you gave Kizzy.

    I hope, when the time is right, that another kit chooses you to be his or her human companion. This one won't replace Kizzy, but will help fill that hole in your heart as only a furry friend can.

  25. Dear Beth,
    I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved Kizzy. As those have said above, our two TDK angels and all of our furrbutt angels greeted Kizzy on the otherside of the rainbow bridge. She is getting scritches and head bonks as I write this.
    Peace

  26. Dear Beth,

    I am sorry to hear about Kizzy's journey to the rainbow bridge. But now she lies in sunlight, plays and is at peace while she waits to be reunited with you. I lit a candle for her, too.

  28. I'm so sorry Beth {{{hugs}}}

    I hope you continue to post here - it's a wonderful site for support and friendship, we all understand what you've been through and how hard the next few days, weeks maybe months will be. And one day, when you're feeling better, you can tell us about a new little furrball who'll steal your heart sometime in the future.
