    Poor darling Juuei and poor Miu {{{HUGS}}}. I'm thinking of you both and focusing all the healing energy I can on your beautiful boy. I know how much you love him, Miu, and don't want to lose him. I hope he's calmed down a little, it must have been so scary for both of you.

    Jasper went into remission with his diabetes as well. Luckily, it happened gradually; there were no hypoglycaemic attacks. We got him down from 3 micro-units of insulin day and night to half that -- 2 in the morning and 1 at night. Unfortunately, he came out of remission a couple of months ago (I noticed he had lost a tiny bit of weight) and now he's back to 6 units a day. As you know, it's very hard to keep diabetic cats stable, but I am hoping he will go back into remission again soon. I hope that Juuei's remission will continue but more gently. I refuse to believe in a tumour.

    Miu, I still would ask if you can have a way to check the sugar from a little blood sample from the ear, especially as it looks like the next few days may be a challenge. Gosh , waiting for him to provide a useful urine sample just seems a bit too difficult to follow. Anyway, just though it would be worth asking. Kisses for sweet Juuei.

    I'll see the vet Monday afternoon if anything serious won't happen before it. The morning has luckily been uneventful. Juuei seems calm, he even purred at me but I am too scared to do anything. 'Fortunately' I am still sick so I don't have to leave him alone.

    The really scary part is how fast these attacks or seizures happen. He may look normal but he could be dead in a few minutes.

    Oh No! I just saw this thread. Poor Juuei, and poor miu. I know how hard it is to control the insulin levels. My vet used to tell me to keep some Karo syrup (corn syrup) on hand just in case of an episode - and to put it on Gibbie's nose and in his mouth if needed. The vet also used to give me a special "litter" to use to get urine samples, it looks sort of like crystals and it doesn't contaminate the urine sample (you just pour everything into the bottle they provide). I don't know if your vet has anything like this. For immediate testing a blood sample would be best.

    Juuei seems to be out of woods this time. I so wish these attacks are just a prelude to a triumphant victory, not a sign of a brain tumour, a stroke or epilepsy.
