  1. I am writing my cards to the pleasant sound of Christmas music and a gallon or so of eggnog so therefore please accept my apologies if you cannot read my writing or if the card inside has no writing (I caught one like that but hope there are no more) If you receive a card with someone elses name in it just cross their name out and put yours in. It should all come out even in the end. Also please disregard any blood from paper cuts I have gotten while licking the envelopes, the tear stains (I'm a Griz football fan and they just lost the championship game badly) or any teeth marks or punctures (not mine but no one else will accept responsibility) and since I lost the stamps you will probably have to pay postage to get them. LOL

  2. Are my eyes getting dim. CTR I wanted to send you a Christmas card but I couldn't find your email address. Would you email me at petpntr@yahoo.com At least you won't have to look at the blood from paper cuts. Oh and thank you for the nog egg, no, egg nog that you spilled all over the stack of cards that didn't get mailed.

  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one who mailed cards that were less than perfect. Some of mine were scribbled in a state of post-workday exhaustion, but I did my best to make them legible!!

  4. I sent you an email petpntr. Eggnog is a nice touch wish I'd thought of it but even if I didn't I'll still apologize for it. :)

  5. The biggest problem with mine is that I cannot find the stamps. I sent one batch of cards out and can't find the rest of the stamps. One of tomorrow's projects is a stamp search.

  6. you people crack me up ...... wipes eyes ...whew ......nice way to wake up :)

  7. I found the stamps, yay. I spent the morning with my sister, we did a little shopping stopped at a coffee bar. We had a nice visit. She said her dog is so depressed that the Griz lost that he can't keep his ears up and her cat is mad at her because she put all the Christmas packages out of his reach. Seems like he thinks his job is to shred all the ribbons.

  8. Next problem, Molly has been in the eggnog and is helping me. She keeps jumping on the nice stack of done cards and sending them flying. I hope none of them get lost but if they do I will send them when I find them. I'm sure you will understand if you get your card in Feb, July or Sept by November it will count for next Christmas though. Again although it is not my fault I will apologize because I know Molly will not accept responsibility. LOL

  12. Being quite new here I haven't got the feel of the place, yet. I have seen many references to exchanging Christmas cards which seems like a really nice custom but I can't figure out if it is a forum wide thing or if it is just among the old-timers who have gotten to know each other. Is there a story?

Posted 3 years ago by Lily #

  13. Lily, there is a list of people who want to be on the Christmas card exchange. You don't have to be an "old timer" at all! I think this is the second year for the exchange. Just let it be known that you want to be on the list!

  14. Lily, it was LV who invented the TDK Christmas last year. Now everybody is welcome, we have collected a list of people who wish to participate. :)

  15. Lily I am newer than you. At first I didn't think I wanted to be bothered to be honest. Then more and more people were talking about it so I thought o.k. I really don't see the point but I'll do it. I can not tell you now how happy I am I did. There are cyber cards and real Christmas cards that are actually delivered to your home. I got such a kick out of it and I can't imagine now why I hesitated. This is a great bunch. Please send me your email address and I would be happy to start you off. I think it is a little too late to be included in the snail mails but cyber cards are enjoyable to receive too. petpntr@yahoo.com. If you email me I can send you the list I used if you want to sent out some cards yourself.

  16. I've been having a lot of fun with them.

  17. It has been so wonderful to get these Christmas cards,I hung them on a string downstairs so my parents could enjoy them too.

  18. Hahaha....half my livingroom wall is covered in beautiful cards from the BEST people on Earth. More times than not,I can't afford to do things like send cards,but,my TDK Family has always welcomed me & shared themselves. I'll always love them for that...{{{HUGS}}}

BTW....I don't think a single family member here cares whether they recieve a card late or not. It's the thought that counts. You can always send e-cards if you want. I'm still learning the puter tricks & am leery of diving to deep into that.

  19. Some friends of ours were here for dinner Friday night and she couldn't get over the cards! We have them in our living room and they are so much fun to look at. Mr. WWM tapes them onto a bookcase so that we can see each and every one. And I have saved all of the beautiful email cards and letters.

  20. My cards are all taped to the front door as was my mother's tradition, now though with all my TDK cards, they have expanded to the wall next to the door :)
It's so nice to know you are thought of no matter if it's an e-card or a paper card or even just a holiday greeting on the website!

  21. I have mine taped to the wall and since this has been a crazy year for me (with the living room renovation project half done and problems with leaking porch--now fixed) that decorating just didn't happen so the cards are my decoration. And I love the e=cards, too. Susie, those days to Christmas links (really loved todays) are so much fun. I have looked forward to getting the link everyday. thank you

Posted 3 years ago by Cat talk rules #

  22. Me too, Susie. Thanks!

Posted 3 years ago by paulajeanne #

  23. Hi Paulajeanne. I haven't seen you for a while. Is it freezing in Glendive? I am tired of winter already. I have to travel not far about 40 miles this week and I don't look forward to it.

Posted 3 years ago by Cat talk rules #

  24. I have realized that the cards will probably not get finished until after Christmas. The ones going to family and friends won't either. This has been one crazy year I guess it is finishing like it started.

  25. Tee hee....CTR, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who encounter such problems with my cards this year!! I fear many that were all ready to be mailed are still far underneath a dresser that is almost impossible to move and comes all the way to the floor in the front so no coat hanger will work..I pulled out as many as I could from behind, but I'm sure some of the TDK cards will not be found until I move!!! many that did go out also had the some problem with teeth marks and some drool..I did not have to ask who did what...Blackbeard would be the teeth marks (he is also responcible for them ending up under the dresser) and the drool is a gift from my BooBoo kitty!!!

  26. February. They are not late until after February...

Posted 3 years ago by MeezerMama in OK; 10/23 #

  27. MM, there is something really enjoyable about getting a card in Feb. I started this thread to have a little fun but I want to say I have really enjoyed the cards and yesterday there was a big stack of them. It helped me get through a hard day. I also wanted to say to everyone who sent photos of their furkids that I really enjoyed getting them. I enjoy the e cards too. They are always so much fun. A special thanks to the people who get everyone's name and information and send it out, make numerous revisions etc. Without you it wouldn't be possible.

  28. Hi Petpntr and everyone! I definitely would like to participate next year-- this sounds like a terrific idea and a lot of fun. Too late, this year though-- even for e-cards. I am so distracted with the upcoming holidays, I haven't even had time to look in and get my daily fix of TDK :o since the last time I wrote! Don't know if I will again before the day-- so Merry Christmas one and all! I had to force all 6 of my cats in last night-- it went down to 27 again. They were not happy. Yet today and the rest of the week it is supposed to be in the mid 70s during the day and 50s at night. Thank goodness. I don't think I could take another night like last night...

  29. I also got a wonderful stack of cards in the mail yesterday. It has been so much fun opening and reading each one! Oops - watch out for little bits of paper and fun stuff falling out of the cards when you open them! :)

Posted 3 years ago by Ouize in Central FL (6/19) #

  30. Yes, yesterday was a TDK card bonanza! Lily, I didn't participate last year and then it sounded like so much fun, so I made sure that I did it this year. To everyone who sent greetings - mail, email, or just posting here - Thank You and Merry Christmas to you all.
