Good Morning and Afternoon to my friends!!!!
How are you this Monday? I am cold..lol. It's 5 degrees I think with a wind chill of -18 below. It's a bit chilly.
SO on the buffet, I have all warm/hot food for munching, hot coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate.
Santa Claus is in his chair surrounded by agency kittehs and waiting for you to sit on his lap :)

We're mostly good, and I should just chill out about the things that aren't so good. Such as, hubby asking me this morning "are you ever going to go to the gym again?". Argh. Excuse me, Mr. I'm Retired and Can Do What I Want When I Want. Life isn't that simple for some of us.
GD, I was really tempted, until kitty tried to bite when I went to put him down. Up to that point it was heavenly.
How's Bobby doing lately, GD? Is he taking his pills like a good boy?
I'm well, CM and Kilroy. This morning, I'm doing a 2 1/2 hour tennis camp at a club in town. I've been wanting to transfer over to play for them, so I'm hoping to play well this morning so they'll consider me.
The boys are well - noone spent the night in the bathroom the last 2 nights. I think me being home during the day on Saturday and Sunday wore them out more than usual so they were tired enough to sleep through the night - or at least until 6:00.
I've discovered a trick to giving Bobby his pill! I coat it in a very fine layer of butter to make it slippery enough to go down even if he doesn't want to swallow it. when we're done I wipe my finger with the leftover butter on his nose and he has to swallow before he licks his nose. So far so good!

It's so funny to read about you going to play tennis and when I look out my window we are getting snow and it's -18 below..I can't fathom playing tennis right now, but play for me in the nice weather too :)

Good morning all!!! Cold here today ! Yesturday it was 80, today the high will only be 59..... bizzare weather!!! Abby has decided that the Christmas tree stand is her personal drinking fountain. Every so offen I keep hearing this loud slurpping sounds coming from the living room.... I soon discovered that Abby had her face suck in the tree standing drinking..... apparently that water tastes better than the fresh water I put in her bowl every morning!!! She's lucky I don't use any chemical "tree perserve" in the stand! ...... wonders if that might make it "a fountain of youth"? !! LOL

59 degrees is outright hot for us right now AV..lol The snow is coming down full force and with the wind and the cold being below zero, 59 sounds like bikini weather..lol

Good morning, everyone! It's a balmy five below zero here this morning. And the office is cold as well because they think some breaker is off. Ah, great...freeze outside and inside. Maintenance is checking the whole building to see what happened. H.h.hh..hot chocolate for me, too!

I know 59 sounds warm to you "below zeroers"!! I truly don't see how you survive in that cold temps.... my skin would itch itself completely off. You must bathe in a vat of vasoline! Then again, I don't see how people can swim in the Pacific Ocean either!!! The gulf of Mexico in the summer is 89 degrees.... feels like a bath tub!
Hey CM, Kilroy, GD, AV and LK! Happy Monday Before Christmas! I'll just have something adult to drink. I'm not into the whole work thing today since it's my last day until next year. I have my antler hat on. AND I got a big bottle of Baileys and 2 giant steaks from one of my managers! Tee hee hee hee! I hope everybody has a great day. It's a 26 windchill here but it's actually 32 or 33. Where I'm on my way to it's 14.

I guess we "acclimate" to our environment, not unlike the animal kingdom! If I go above the Mason Dixon line, or west of the Mississippi, I turn into a lizzard and my hair sticks to my head like a skull cap! On the other hand, the more humid, the better for me - my skin is dewey and moist, and my hair stays full and fluffy for days! Funny because some people can't take the humidity - says it makes them tired! Well, to me it's an energizer - the more I sweat, the better - cleans out my system of all toxins!
Good morning, Everyone!!!! Gosh, it is freezing here! It's 27 but with the wind chill it's 16. I came out of the gym this morning, soaked like always, and thought that I was going to instantly turn into a rather disgusting popsicle. But by Christmas Day it's supposed to be 65. I want a white Christmas!!!! :-(
I got on the scales this morning and almost had to call 911. How can that happen in just two days???? ACK!
So, may I have a cup of hot water and a celery stick, please?

WWM, you crack me up..You can have a cup of hot water but I am putting a tea bag in it at least. You can have celery but with some cream cheese or peanut butter. You look wonderful, I saw the picture with your marine! I hope I can look that good in the near future.

Question for you - I loved your crumble receipe, and I think I'll make it for Christmas. Was wondering you opinion of using dried cranberries in lieu of cherrys? I have a whole bag of beautiful ones that I would really like to use!

AV, the crumble was wonderful - everyone raved about it. I tasted a dried cherry before I added them and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between a dried cherry and a dried cranberry.

Good morning all. LK and CM, you all sound so cold. It is a balmy 41 degrees here this morning. Not enough to put on a bikini but maybe some shorts and sandles, ha ha!
AV, I find that humidty and me do not mix. My hair goes flat and I lose all energy. I liked swimming in the Pacific Ocean when I visited Hawaii about 12 years ago. The water was so nice and warm. If you go to the beach in the SF Bay Area, you need a wet suit as the water is around 55 degrees in the summer and around 40 degrees in the winter. Brrr!
WWM's nice army soldier is a real cutie. Kilroy, sounds like you enjoy a nice little kitty time with someone else's cat? How did George react to that?
I am here at work and would much rather be at home. I have to meet with the Senior Director this morning as I am being involved in some big project. I hope they don't expect any results before Christmas. I should have taken Mon-Wed off instead of just taking Wed but I want to save up on my vacation time for next year's trip to Europe, if that is going to happen. So, may I have a nice plate of scrambled eggs with cheese sprinkled on it, six strips of extra crispy bacon and a large cup of mocha with whip cream. Oh heck, please add a shot of baileys to the mocha. Might as well have some fun if I am to be at work.

Oops, had to disappear for a while and take a shower. My girls were complaining and Willow kept trying to lick the salt off of my skin!
And now, because it's Monday, I get to do my favorite thing - clean house!!!! Yippee!!!!! But I'll just keep sneaking back in!

Morning/afternoon all! It was 6 degrees this morning!!!!! I have dropped hubby's car off at the shop for new tires so we will be ready for anything that might come our way in our travels.
I could use a big bowl of hot soup and a BLT for lunch. Our high today will be 23! but tomorrow it is supposed to warm up a bit.
