This afternoon, I'm picking up two Siamese-colored kittens in Concordia, Missouri as a step toward getting them to their forever family in Mission, Kansas late on Christmas Eve. They're both dilute kitties, brother and sister; Mel and Polly will be joining their family in Mission, Kansas at 10:00 pm on Christmas eve. They're currently being altered at the animal shelter's "spa" in Columbia, Missouri; then they'll be transported and we'll meet in Concordia late this afternoon.
I'm specifically not going directly to the shelter to pick them up, primarily because their brother Oreo has not, to the best of my knowledge, been adopted yet. He's a real sweetie! I'm positive I'd fall madly in love and come back with three kittens, rather than two. That would be wonderful, but it would also be more kitty than I can handle; I'm hopeful that Oreo will find his family soon!
In the meantime, I'm cleaning and setting up my foster room to accommodate them comfortably and with a minimum of fuss and disturbance. I've got a couple errands to run and some other things to finish up on here, but if I'm able to get photos of them tonight, I'll update this topic later on.
