    I'm so sorry about Tessie. I read this thread earlier (I've been lurking all day but finally am able to post). Ranger, one of my sister's cats, rang the bell on her Christmas tree as I read this, I think it was about 11am or so. We truly believe that the bell rung from a kitty signifies the ascention of a kitty to the Bridge. He rang it this past January 3 for my Jiggs. Sweet Tessie has her wings.

    CTR, my deepest sympathies. You must know that you did the right thing by Tessie. I know it doesn't make it easier, but it does make it right. Tessie was dearly loved and will be sorely missed, but she waits for you at the Bridge. My heart goes out to you. I am at work and I wish I could stop crying for all the little kitty souls that have left us lately.

    I know it was the right thing for Tessie but my house feels empty and my heart heavy. I wasn't ready. All of your kind words and caring help so much. Thank you petpnter for the card and SMM for the angel wings. I am so glad that I can come here in my grief and know that I am understood. I knew her life wouldn't be as long once she got diabetes,too but I didn't expect it so soon, so sudden. I am having trouble believing it.

    It is shocking when a loved one dies no matter how clear it is that the end is coming. Tessie was a great kitty companion so her crossing the bridge leaves a big hole.
