  1. OK, cat snoring to the left of me, husband snoring to the right of me, stuff all on TV and, as the clocks go back tonight, an extra hour ahead...better start the nightshift!!

  2. Is it that time of year already to roll the clocks back??

Posted 2 years ago by Instinct #

  3. Yup, tonight's the night - dark evenings loom...

  5. *giggles*

It'll soon be going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. And trying to get the cats in in the dark, which is NOT easy. Roll on Spring!!

  6. Is there a difference in daylight saving time across the pond? Ours changes the first Sunday in November now, used to be the last Saturday in October.

  7. Hi MMM! Must be, ours is always the last Saturday in October. Still, the extra hour of sleep (or chatting on TDK!) is nice. The Spring change, where we lose an hour is much harder work!!

  8. Yep, you always have to pay the pipper in the end don't you :)

  9. Yes, I do like turning the clocks back for that extra hour of sleep. Of course, right now, one day seems to run into the next, since I lost my job. But next week, I'm going to get out and just put applications and resumes in everywhere I can think of. There just has to be something out there for me.

  10. Sorry to hear that MMM, I've been through it too and it really sucks.

  11. Me too MMM, not an easy time. Hugs and positive vibes from over 'ere. xx

  12. Oooh, there is something good on TV - a countdown of the 100 best albums ever. Great, can have that on in the background (be nice if I could hear it over the stereo snoring, but you can't have everything..)

  13. Michigan has one of the worst unemployment rates in the U.S., about 7%. And now the auto companies are discussing contracts-2 have already voted and accepted their contracts, the last one is this weekend. It would have been so much worse if they had all decided to strike. I think I would most certainly have decided to move to another state if that had happened.

  14. Is a move still a possibility MMM?

  15. There's nothing like a snoring kitten-Molly is usually the one who snores in my ear, lying behind me on my big chair, but she's on my lap sleeping blissfully right now. Max is up on the back of the chair, sleeping too, but he doesn't snore.

  16. Cat snoring never bothers me - human snoring brings out the secret psychopath in me... (Chris should be afraid...very afraid!!)

  17. MCW, it certainly is a possibility. I have one sister who lives in Virginia (unemployment rate about 3%) and another who lives in Indiana (don't know that one right off hand). Virginia sister lives in Charlottesville, home of Univ. of Virginia, lots of jobs. Other sister and husband own their own business, could possibly work for them.

  18. You know, I read an article (or saw it on TV) that said more and more people (coules) have separate bedrooms for that very reason-snoring keeps one or the other awake. I used to have that problem, and a separate bed, too. Now I have a great big queen size bed that I only share with my furry roommates.

  19. Good, you have some options. Is there a Max & Molly's Dad to consider, or is it just up to you? (Nosey aren't I? Tell me to mind my own if you'd rather!)

  20. That was supposed to be "couples"...

    Posted 2 years ago by MaxandCali'sMom #

  21. Think you just answered my question.. ;-)

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  22. No, MCW, I've been single since l990-and I like it that way. Unfortunately, had two very bad marriages (both alcoholics) and I really don't want to try it again. Before my Mom passed away, she was always wanting me to come to Florida and get out and "meet people". I told her to quit matchmaking, that if I ever remarried, he'd have to be a millionaire with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

  23. A millionaire with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel -

    Excellent phrase!

  24. At least I'd be a "merry widow?"

  25. Just think how many more cats you could afford to get!!!

  26. A "Chester's Place" in every town. One can dream

  27. Believe me, I have plans for my "cat farm", "cat house", whatever you want to call it. I dream of having a big compound, with an on-site vet, lots of loving workers, and all kinds of kitties. Have to win the lottery!!

  28. Evening Susie, hope all's well with you. You're not near any of these fires are you?

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  29. If you achieve that dream MMM, I think you'll have every TDK person applying for jobs with you!

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  30. I always wanted to live in a cat house. Be just like in "The Cheyenne Social Club" :D
