  4. Hi Dorie, how's it going? Are you feeling better today?

Moonshadow-how different it would be to have Christmas in the summer! Although I suppose it would be like living in a warm state. Here in Michigan, we almost always have snow. As a kid, I remember wishing for snow on Christmas Eve so Santa would have it for his sleigh.

  5. That brings back happy childhood memories - we lived in central africa when I was little, and it was always about 90 degrees for Christmas - so funny to see spray on snow in the windows!!!

  6. That is the way it is most of the time in houston. Not that hot, but we have only had one white (ahem) christmas in my lifetime here. That was a couple of years ago. and the snow was all gone by christmas afternoon. :(

  7. MCW...sorry about the late reply to question on pg.1...Not near the fires, but,do have a bit of smoke from them.
The only downfall to new TDK layout is you can't reply directly below a question or comment. It's so hard to keep up anymore. Kind of a bummer

  10. Hi all
I'm back I just got a phone call from a high school friend we haven't talked in over 4 years, I just found out her son works at my local wallmart! It was funny because the other day I went into the store and saw this guy and thought of her!! It was her son!! What a small world!

  11. As I grow older, I think I'd be willing to trade in the snow for a warmer climate. I've seen enough snow-even been through a blizzard. Where I live in Michigan, the very southeasternmost area, on Lake Erie, we don't get a lot of severe weather. The really bad storms (rain, snow, tornadoes) usually go north or south, thank goodness.

  12. Ange...I'm sorry your not feeling well. I'm freaking alittle not wanting to get exposed at all to anyone sick. If I end up w/the flu, I am so in trouble. I haven't been sick in a few yrs. now. I know if I do,it'll be a whopper to make up for all the well yrs. Hope you feel better by tomorrow.

  14. Susie your freaking!! I'm freaking about this super bug going around as It's in the schools. and the kids in my school are from all different districts. It is a scarey thing

  15. MMM...that's why my folks moved out to California. Lack of emplotment & nasty weather. After the service,he landed a job with Lockheed Space & Missile in Sunnyvale,California & it was goodbye Michigan.

MCW...Where I live we have to worry about flooding. The levees are so bad. And they're our only protection. The one we had in 1997 was a wakeup call. All the clients I was cleaning for were flooded up to their rooftops. It was horrifying to walk 50 ft. from your doorstep & up onto the levee & see home after home under water...After getting the mandatory shots(ouch),they allowed a friend that had a home there & myself to walk down as far as could to thw water's edge to throw bags of kibble up on the rooftops where dozens of cats were trapped. At least we were able to save some of them.

  19. G/night all. I have to go finish laundry!! Talk to you all tomorrow!!! Love Ter

  20. Dorie...Know what you mean. When my ole man starts doing the radiation treatments, I'm not looking forward to being near the hospitals. It's a fact that with all the people that go there being sick, your more apt to get ill there as well. Your right tho. Schools are the worst place, then hospitals. But I can't get a flu shot cuz my allergy to eggs. that sucks cuz I know a few people would have died if they hadn't gone & gotten one.

  24. Wow Susie! Eggs are in Flu shots? I didn't know. I haven't had a fluy shot in 5 years now. I've had a few colds but minor compared to the sever coold I had after the Flu shot I had in 2002. Won't do it ever again.

  28. Dorie,my big sister has had asthma. We all were hoping she'd grow out of it,but didn't. The attacks are scary. I remember back when your son was having a real hard time with his. We all here at TDK were worried along w/you. Your a good Mom tho & he's gonna be fine under your caring, watchful eye.

BTW...Hope your soreness is going away
