  1. Angel, I must confess that I am not a fan of football, but our beloved Ducks (University of Oregon) beat USC today. Hubby and I are both graduates of the U of O. I didn't watch the game as I wound up driving to my brother's house to help pack up his daughter's things for her to take with her to her new adoptive home.

  2. Yea, Angel, I saw that too. I just assume that he got this infor from before. Still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck, though. Hope the computer for her is ok. And he got this info for this website before she changed her info. Just seems strange to me that tonight he decided to post and not before. He could have done this last week at any time, why tonight, why now. My brain goes crazy with these things. Forgive my rambling. Lynn

  3. I agree with you Max and Molly's Mom. Treat Karin's husband like a "troll"--ignore him. If he doesn't get a rise out of us, he'll quit posting. He will probably continue to lurk, however, so we all must be careful about what we post regarding Karin.

  5. It sounded to me like he was just trying to turn her friends against her. I have a friend who was in an abusive relationship and he told her she couldn't talk to anyone or have any friendships outside of him. I was the only one who refused to let her get away with that. He was an a$$ to me and i just told him to go away ( in a not so nice way) She is still with him but he tolerates me in her life. I just wish she was as courageous as Karin has been and would get out. Kudos to Karin for taking the hardest step and getting away from him.

  7. Thank you KW, you have calmed me down. As always, you are the clear head, when mine is muddy. I over-react, you just react with reason. Good someone else out there does! I was worried and scared for this girl. I have seen this happen first hand in my life. A husband, said if I can't have you no one else will. You know the outcome, so I am a bit sensitive to any reference to stalking and such. I will still say many prayers and only hope that she will be safe. Thank you all for tonight. Still dealing here. Andie's Mom made another recovery after last night, still in ICU, but bitching to get out. I don't get this one. Son is good, ex is still psychotic. Lila, having some issues and we are talking care of that, so we are stressed to say the least. Keep us in your prayers as we do you. Have a good night, and a good week ahead. With love, hugs and purrs, Lynn and Kay

  8. Try to get some rest, Lynn. You have a very full plate. Karin has lots of backup here and on the ground in SF with I & I. She is also smart and taking excellent steps to protect herself in case that is necessary.

  13. This story made the local rounds a couple of years ago. Think I'll post it on the louse's thread as well.

At Easterwood Airport in College Station [the home of Texas A&M], three strangers are awaiting their shuttle flight. One is a Native American passing through from Oklahoma. Another, a local ranch hand on his way to Ft. Worth for a stock show. The third passenger is an Arab student, newly arrived from the Middle East.

To pass the time, they strike up a conversation on recent events, and the discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon the Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout Muslim. The conversation falls into an uneasy lull.

The cowpoke leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine table, tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face while the wind outside blows through the post oaks and the old windsock flaps.

Finally, the Native American clears his throat and softly, he speaks:
"Once my people were many, now we are few."

The Muslim raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?"

The Texan shifts the toothpick to one side of his mouth and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says, "That's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet."
