  2. Hello! I'm good thanks, how are you and yours today?

Posted 3 years ago by metsa #

  3. Hi Metsa!
We are good here as well. Maddie is going over Grandma's today and I have 2 dr appts..one ultrasound so it will be interesting to see how much Abbie is weighing now.

  4. That must be so exciting. getting to see the little one while she's still in you :). Is it a bit wierd too? Lunchtime here but not hungry, should eat so I'm not out of synch with my darling but can't be bothered :). Can I have a coffee and a selection of kitties from the buffet please?

  5. *gives Metsa a coffee and a scottish fold, tabby, Maine Coon and a persian kitty*

It's a bit weird to see something inside of you but it's awesome at the same time. Scary to think she will be here in about 3 weeks. I am going to be soooo tired.

  6. I can imagine it'd be far more awesome than wierd, you must so much be looking forward to meeting her :). I'm really looking forward to seeing the pictures even! You'll do great with her though, look at the amazing job you've done with Maddie. Going to have to try and get to the bank today, means cutting my way through the Christmas crowds and trying to find somewhere to park, eep.

  7. Hi CM & Metsa! Back at work today, boy is it busy! Won't be on as much as I'd like, but wanted to say hello. We had some frozen pipes yesterday and work was being done a bit close to where Leela's crate is, so we went to my sister's place. My brother-in-law is on vacation so he was happy to see her. They were the ones who fostered her when she was brought to the shelter after being rescued from the rain this past spring. She's there again today and b-i-l is thrilled! She gets a whole room to herself instead of the crate and scary noises.

  8. Good luck with that Metsa...it's a madhouse everywhere.

Hi Joan!!! Awwww Leela is visiting her family :) It's nice you can take her somewhere and she will be safe and warm.

  9. Hi all!

Awww, so nice about Leela getting to visit her foster mommy and daddy, she must be so excited, all that room to move around in, yay!

Joan, I am sending up extra special wishes that your construction mess is done SOON.

  10. Hi everyone!!!! Whew! Just got back from the grocery store!!!! I was there when the doors opened at 7am!!! When I left 1 1/2 hrs later, the parking lot was already almost full!!! Glad that's over, I'd hate to see that place this afternoon!!!

CM, your shower was so much fun yesturday, what wonderful friends, and such nice gifts {{{huggs}}}}... now we wait for that precious Abbie!

I'll take a strong coffee this morning, I've got a lot to do cooking & cleaning, so I'll be popping in and out! Maybe a bite of a sausage/biscut sami to tide me over and get me going please!

  11. Good morning everyone from the snowy Upper Midwest. More snow today, tonight, and tomorrow with 5-10" more on top of what we already have. I have a lovely snow mountain in my front yard, courtesy of the snow plow. Nora, the silly girl, still wants to go out on the deck! (That is, until I crack the slider open a bit and she gets a facefull of the powdery stuff. Then she goes back inside, all dejected. Winter is hard on Nora.)

Could I have some hot chocolate with crushed candycane and a fluffy orange kitten please? I need something to warm me up.

  12. Hi AV, NNGM and Kilroy!!
*coffee, sausage sammie to AV and hot chocolate with candycane and fluffy orangie to NNGM*

Awww Nora just wants to play outside.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  13. Poor Nora!

My boys - especially Bobby - were bad last night! I must have been up with them 7-8 times, locking Bob in the bathroom, letting him out when he was banging on the door, splitting up a fight, locking Bobby up again, investigating strange noises they were making, etc. I'm tired today!!!

  14. <Kilroy slides a mug of high test coffee in GD's direction>

Bad kitties! Keeping their mamma up all night. I can relate to the strange noises thing; on top of being awake because of husband's dopeyness last night, I was worrying about George getting into the Christmas tree. This morning I came out of the shower and the tree skirt was clear across the room from the tree. Georgie was just sitting there looking all innocent ("who, me?" I didn't touch it, really - it got up and JUMPED at me, mamma, really") I weighted it down with a 5-pound free weight; I hope he doesn't pull the whole tree down trying to play with the skirt.

Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  15. LOL at George. He doesn't realize that he will never get away with it until he has another cat to blame it on.

Speaking of strange noises - something happened between Nibs and Gem last night and I swear Gem barked! It sounded exactly like a dog yipping. I've never heard a cat make that noise before. (Judging by the smug look on Nibs' face and Gem's puffy tail, I think I know who pounced who).

  16. Morning, Everyone!!! I read AV's note with some alarm as I still have to go to the grocery store! :-( But it's only for a few things and maybe I can get in and out in ten hours or less.

We caught Windi stealing candy this morning. It's those red Hot Tamale candies. She didn't want to eat them, she wanted to bat them around the kitchen. Now I think that they are under the refrigerator. Wait till she sees the pipe cleaners that she's getting Christmas! She going to love those.

Well, guess I should get cleaned up and go to the store. If I don't reappear, call the Midland police.

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  17. Don't worry, WWM, if you disappear your nice Army boy will come find you :)

Silly Windi; it's probably good that she didn't want to eat the Hot Tamales. Much better to send them under the fridge, aka, where kitty toys go to die (until someone fishes them out).

  18. Morning everyone, allergies still beating my poor peepers up this day. Just read though in the last couple of days that if you put dryer sheets under the tree skirts (and change them out every couple of days) the scent will keep kitties at an arms length....don't know if it works because I didn't get around to putting up a tree, sigh.

  19. Well everyone..I have been doing laundry and yapping on the phone and I have to get my butt in gear. Post office awaits as does 2 dr appts. I shall return later. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!! I will update everyone about Abbie when I return from my ultrasound :) I am wondering how much this little one weighs!

  20. Good morning. The traffic was so nice and light that I got into work within 30 minutes! Normally it is 40-45 minutes. I am waiting for an email from a vendor who is providing us with a survey for some of my group to take. I am suppose to send out the link to the group before I leave today as they are suppose to have it completed by Jan 7th and what with my being off tomorrow and the office shut down from Dec 25-Jan 2nd, I need to get it out today. If I don't get that link with the next two hours, I am going to call him and give the guy the riot act. I have this sinking feeling that everyone will get to leave early but I will be stuck at work until he sends the stupid link. Oh well.

Joan, that is great that Leela can visit your B-i-l place and have a whole room to herself and someone to play with too.

As for all that are going to the grocery store or retail store of some kind, plan to circle the parking lot for about two hours and then spend about three hours in line once you have all that you need. Then you will spend about an hour trying to get home. I need to go and buy some cat food but the Petco near where I work hopefully won't be too bad.

  21. :::echo echo echo:::.. Me thinks I scared off everyone or they are all out at the grocery stores fighting their way through the parking lot and then through the crowd inside the store.

Posted 3 years ago by SylMiaFelixMomma #

  22. Hi SMM... I'm still here. I'm at work untl 2... then home to start the pre-cooking cooking. Sadly, I will need to make a run to the store. Wanted the rolls to be as fresh as possible for tomorrow.

  23. Yay - I'm back and it wasn't bad at all at the grocery store. But that's because I picked a sort of "mom and pop" type store that isn't a chain. They have great produce and I was able to get everything that I needed. And now I am officially finished!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  24. WWm - you may be the only one !!! LOL

Posted 3 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  25. I plan to enjoy it, 2P! The rest of my day might just consist of laying on the sofa with the tree lights on and reading a book. Sadly, it is a stinker of a book but my book group chose it for February. To give you an idea of just how bad it is, I'll tell you that the title is "My heart might be broken but my hair still looks great". No joking! I think they wanted to read it because it's set in West Texas but it's mind numbingly stupid! *looks around to see if the author is on TDK*

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  26. WWM, that sounds like an entry in a "bad writing contest". I can't imagine anyone from Texas even uttering those words.

I would love to be sitting home reading a book! Just came back from slipping and sliding around outside - the weather is bad and the traffic is terrible.

  27. Hi all!
I went nd met a friend for coffee and then to the post office. I went to meet a dog-sitting client at noon and she wasn't home. She did the same to me yesterday - arranged for me to stop by to get the key and then noone was home!!! Actually she told me her husband had been home yesterday but didn't feel like going to open the door! I knocked for 5 minutes and the dog was barking her head off!!! They're going away tomorrow and better get me that key somehow. By the way, she's done this to me twice on other occasions - luckily she's only 5 minutes from me but that is just RUDE!

    I'm working 4:30 - 9:00 tonight and 8-1 tomorrow with Thursday off. Friday I'm working 6am to 9am and 4:30 to 9:00 - arrrgh!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  28. NNGM, "trite" wouldn't even begin to describe the writing style of this author. But, because it is so ...err... brainless, it is a quick read!

The weather just sounds awful everywhere (except here). Although I wish that we could be with family, I'm kind of glad that we aren't trying to fly out anywhere.

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  29. If she can't manage to meet you at the appointed time, GD, it will be her fault if they are to leave and have not made arrangements with you. That is extremely rude on her part.

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  30. What I really want to do is charge her for the trips over there and the waste of my time! >:-(

I don't have much time during the day and am squeezing her in. Arrrrgh. I got a call from someone yesterday who wants me to watch her two dogs over the holidays. I turned down a new client who asked a few weeks ago because I had this dog booked. Arrrrgh!
