  1. Sorry to hear about your ex's Mum MCW. Hope he gets a flight soon.

  2. MCW, do you know the flight #? I can check it for you...

  3. MCW, Andy will probably be OK since he doesn't have any connections. He might get there late, but he should get there. I'm sorry to hear about his mom.

  4. Now why didn't I think of that..check the flight for MCW. Doh! ::slaps forehead::

I am sorry to hear about your ex's mum.

  5. Sorry to hear that Andy's mum has gotten bad news, and so close to the holidays. Sending prayers for all who care for her.

  6. Thanks for the links and suggestions guys - I don't know the flight number I'm afraid, or even which airline - he normally prferes Virgin., but I know this was booked fairly last minute...he's flying into Heathrow, that's all I know. I had a text from him, and I told him to keep me posted - not heard from him again since, so am hoping no news is good news...

  7. Looks like arrivals into O'Hare are delayed more than 3 hours; not as much information about departures.

Crossing my fingers hard that Andy gets home timely, MCW.

  8. I may be wrong, MCW, but the major delays that are making the news are in the Washington state area and in Oregon. Other airports are probably delayed because of the weather in these areas.

  9. Basically if you are flying into or out of O'Hare Int'l Airport, expect delays for departures and arrivals. It is best they check with the airlines ahead of time.

  10. O'Hare is different because they control so much of the air traffic in the US (both incoming and outgoing). If Andy's flight is already there, then he should be fine - maybe just delayed a bit. He was smart to fly out a day early. I still think he will make it. Wish we knew what airline - although when I looked at all the flights going from Chicago to Heathrow, none are saying cancelled so that is good.

  11. Thanks everyone - sounds a bit more promising at least. I'll try and find out which airline he's on.

  12. Had a text & he thinks his flight is OK - phew!

I'm off to do battle in Tesco's now - where's my body armour?

  13. MCW...please stay safe! keep your eyes roving like a commando. we don't want you hit by any yogurt (lowfat or otherwise!) COURAGE my friend! "Into the valley of death rode the 500..." (hmmmm, is that the correct quote?)

  14. Good luck with your forage through Tesco's MCW! Watch out for those flying Yogurt pots.

Okay, I just got word that we are to move our training room from the 2nd floor up to the third floor and it must be done before the Holiday shutdown as HR needs the room we are currently using. Unfreakingbelievable!!!! Well, I have made up my mind that I am not to freak out about this last minute request and am going to leave it up to the powers at be. They waited till the last minute, they can deal with it all.

  15. Nice planning on their part SMM! If your kitties like catnip, check out duckyworld.com. They have ORGANIC catnip toys, which I first thought, yeah? so what, but it turns out to be quite...shall we say, potent? I was at a little pet bakery and they had these toys. So I got a green fish and boy is it a hit at home! The tag on the fish said ducky world...

  16. MCW- It is snowing hard right now here in Chicago. I am 45 minutes from O'hare. They are saying another 3 - 5 inches today and more tomorrow. When is your friend coming this way?

Posted 3 years ago by daisy mew #

  17. Hi Daisy Mew! MCW's friend is flying out of O'Hare to London so we think he will be fine (especially if his flight is already in Chicago).

    How are you doing?

Posted 3 years ago by NNGM #

  18. Doing okay NNGM! Had to go out this afternoon and the roads are a nightmare.

  19. The boys are happy to have their nintendo games so they couldn't care if they stay in.

  20. I hear you! We are getting ready to leave work now and I am dreading it. Just got a call from one of my co-workers who left 30 minutes ago - he has been sitting up on the expressway, not moving, for 20 minutes now. I love a white Christmas but this is ridiculous!

    Hopefully this weather site works

  22. We are gonna get slammed hard really soon. I agree that a white Christmas is good, but this is crazy like you said.

Posted 3 years ago by daisy mew #

  23. Gotta go, the boys are trying to kill each other. LOL!

Posted 3 years ago by daisy mew #

  24. Yep, looks alot like our forecast. They are telling us to get the snow off our roofs and decks because if it rains this weekend the snow will get very heavy.

Well, I'm off to brave the elements. I will check in later. Take care everyone!

  25. Be safe NNGM! Go slow and easy. Hi DM! Nice to see you here. Linda, I will check out duckyworld.com as Sylvester loves catnip. When I say loves, he really loves it!!

Yeah, it is poor planning and so far no one has said anything to me about it so I am not going to ask. It is 2:50pm and I am hoping to be out the door anytime between now and 4pm. We will see how that goes.

I just checked with my manager and it seems that the move is all taken care of and we do not have to worry about a thing. Phew! Glad to hear that.
