Moving Abbie into nightshift since she will show up tonight. Let's celebrate her arrival coming soon. She will be our mascot for the evening and Jen and Wayne will have our prayers. And Maddie will just keep waiting!!! Love to all and drinks all around!!! Someone else bring the munchies, see you all in a bit.

Going through my kitchen for snacks, Let's see, I have nuts and bolts homemade, an assortment of cheeses and crackers, some sweet stuff........checks the freezer.....

I'm thinking seafood appetizers..... shrimp (on the barbie of course), marinated grouper; smoked herring & mackrel..... lobster bisque with toast points... oysters on the half shelll.... and for all you NON-SEAFOOD LOVERS... a huge tenderloin cooked medium rare, and sliced paper thin..... for you VEGGIANS.... sauted zuccini on flat bread with melted fontina and roasted red peppers.... olive tapanade....
A lots of beautiful wines, complementing these items.... crisp pino grisos, buttery Chardonneys, and nice bouselais....
A toast to Abbie, CM, Wayne & Maddie!!!

Oh,AV, sounds good to me! Getting hungry! It will be a long night depending on where you all are. We may not hear anything til after 10-11 EST if the operating room opens at 8 or so. So we'll keep each other company and I will be back in a bit. Nikki here tonight so will be keeping in touch with Terri during the night. She will get the first call, I get the second and it will be posted here. Bear with me. Not used to being an "aunt" and delivering infor! See you soon. Bring on the snacks and the baileys!!

Do we know for certain that Jen has been admitted? She had not been placed on nothing by mouth status before her appointment. So my guess is that, if she has been admitted, the baby will be delivered late tonight or in the morning.
Does anyone know anything concrete?????

I don't know how many of you are parents out there, but can you remember that first night when you brought the first baby home from the hospital???!!! Hubbs and I were terrified.... no one gave us a manuel on how to do this... and here was this beautiful, little tiny life, totally dependent on US!!!! I remember, we placed (son) in his little bassinet that was by our bed, and tried to go to sleep.... about 10 minutes later, we both jumped up, put the little "bedding" part with baby in it, in the middle of our big bed, and then we each nestled in on each side. I think we both checked oh, about 100 x that night to be sure he was sleeping (and breathing)!!! We were so scared!!!!

It's been so long since I held a baby in my arms I would probably end up petting it, looking for its tail and scratching it under the chin! Ohhhhhh this is sooooo exciting.
You go CM We can't wait to see pictures. Many, many blessings on this wonderful day. I hope she is born on the 31st then she will think everyone is celebrating her birthday each year.
