  1. Hi everyone! Cold snowy day here. The city is very busy. Tonight the wind chill will be 12 below 0. Bad night for new years

  2. Brrrrrr...Gini you should stay in and cover yourself in Feeny and Taco!!!

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  3. 2B Mike really wants to go out so I'll be braving the cold tonight. Wish me luck! haha. I love it when it snows here, its always so pretty before it turns to slush. Especially at the park

  4. be very out there!!!!
And remember AAA is offering free towing with a 7 mile limit and many areas have organizations that will give you a ride home, so no one drink and drive tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Hubbs and I are again riding our bikes to our friends' party.....this seems to work best for us. It's only a few blocks, and the weather here is beautiful!

  6. Anyone available to come and help me make dinner tonight?...
Making corned beef hash, my darling took over chopping the onions and tatties when I reached the ends, cos I'm accident prone. I start assembling the dish, get handed a piece of onion with a small but suspicious red smear on it. Assume blood, ask him is he's cut, ready to tend to him. Get told (tetchily, mind) No, he's careful, and its only corned beef I'm seeing. About a minute later, 'Actually, that DOES look like blood...' from him; check both our hands, nick on his finger. First reaction of mine - I laughed while telling him to wash it. Well it obviously didn't hurt, and he was so sure it wasn't blood, but still I think I earned some bad karma.
Ok, patch him up, finish the dinner and get it in the microwave. He goes through to the lounge, I start to tidy the kitchen. Put the peelings and empty corned beef cans in the bin, carefully for the sharp edges, then push them down so I can fit more in.... yup, cut on my finger now! Except mine hurt, and I knew it immediately. That's my bad karma I think, deserved it for laughing at my darling :D. Both patched up now and seeing in the new year with lovely matching blue plasters. Lol!

  7. OH Metsa...{{HUGS}} and please be carefull..good thing you started the food before you started the drinking or it could have really been serious.

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  8. Awww, Metsa - that's usually my trick! Cutting myself or burning my arm on the oven rack.

You both need a Snoopy bandaid!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  9. Yeh, at least they're both just little cuts :). And we can both see the funny side of it. Snoopy bandaids would be great WWM! I used to have ones with animal prints, like leopard and tiger stripes, but I've put them in a 'safe place'... :D

  10. I two matching scars on the tops of my wrists....... One Thanksgiving, I had a 25 lb. turkey in the oven, and as I was trying to lift it out, it was so heavy I pulled up hard, and scortched both wrists on the top heating elements in the oven!!! youch!

  11. Owwwiee!!! Those oven burns hurt so bad! And they are always right in a spot where everything you do rubs on the burn. OUCHIE!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  12. Yeh they're bad them :( that sounds really sore AV!

Posted 3 years ago by metsa #

  13. CF, I too cry when that Sarah M commercial comes on. The faces on the cats just tears my heart out.

Corn beef mash sounds yummy Metsa. I'll come help you make dinner. Now didn't your mum warn you about trying to smash cans down in the trash with your hands? Suppose to use your feet (when you have heavy duty shoes or boots on). Ouch AV! Oven burns really hurt.

I bought a new remote control mouse today as the first one broke after 10 minutes. It was a hit with Sylvester. He attacked it after it started to slow down. I think this one might be breaking too as it won't go as fast as it first did. When I told the store clerk about the first one breaking, she said to bring it back but I unfortunately threw the receipt away. I told her I would keep the receipt for this one if it breaks too.

Congratulations to Wayne and Jen on their newest addition to their family, Abby aka Fishie!!! I haven't had that much fun on the night shift in a long time.

  15. Is there any coffee left? Maybe some leftovers? Purrhaps a British shorthair playing with a ball? Or tuxie sisters play fighting? A shorthair looking for a warm lap to nap in?

  16. Happy New Years Eve to everyone - going off to shower and change, then off on the bikes to friends. A toast to all my TDK friends!!! Talk to you in 2009 (soon!)

  17. SMM, I seriously considered getting George a remote-controlled mouse the other day, but it was $20, so I just got him a new Cat Dancer ($2, yes, I'm cheap :) ) I'm glad I did, because he went nutso for the new Cat Dancer, like he'd never seen one before, and what if he hadn't liked the mouse? It would have been a really expensive dust catcher. I hope the one you have keeps working; it sounds like it was a hit.

  18. Posted 3 years ago by Kilroy #

  19. Well, Kilroy, if this mouse breaks too which is seems to be doing, I am going to take it back. It cost $14 and my cats have enough toys as it is. I gave Mia some cooked chicken from my lunch today and that was a good treat for her. Sylvester doesn't really like human food.
