  1. Excellent, Alicia! I wish Bobby had been worn out!!!! Ladykat ran off as soon as I mentioned her taking Bobby - do you want him?

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  2. Well, I would but I won't be here today (work a pesky job) but maybe this weekend...

Posted 3 years ago by Alicia #

  3. Oh, LK is back! I don't know what's going on with Bobby at night - I keep meaning to record him for everyone. It almost sounds as if he's in distress, but he always looks just fine and he's probably just bored. He's sure had enough tests lately for me to know that he's just fine!

  4. Aw, shucks, Alicia!!! Old Boss is out of town - maybe I should go drop Bobby off at the office for a while?

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  5. LOL @ LK's cat chasing the car lights! Ours hear the birdies at the first crack of dawn and start their prowling of the bedroom, then on to lick our hair to make sure we are WIDE awake and then they get tossed out of the room, like off the island. This is a daily ritual of our life!

  6. Well, I am off to work...Yippie...lol

  7. Yuck, Alicia!
I'm going to try to get another hour of sleep or so. Check back later!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  8. Okay, outta here too! Have a great day everyone!

Posted 3 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  9. What I dislike is that after my cats are awake and running around in the early morning (especially on weekends when I could sleep in), then they promptly find places to snuggle down and sleep. (Maybe I should keep them awake...nahh...they would only wait until night again.)
GD, maybe Bobby was having a bad dream and needed you to chase the dream away.

  10. Nope, LK, he does this every night now for hours on end. It's to the point where I'm looking forward to dog-sitting and sleeping over somewhere else so I can get an uninterupted night's sleep :(

  11. Good morning, Everyone! Back from the gym and now I have to spend the day doing something that I really HATE - taking down the Christmas tree :-(

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  12. Morning all my friends, hope that this day finds you and yours well. Woke up myself @ 3 a.m. and have been watching movies because I couldn't sleep. Watched Beethoven's new movie (cute and funny), Hancock, and This Christmas (which surprised me, thought it would be cheesy but actually a decent movie) and now going to lie back down because my head feels like it is stuffed with cotton. Between the dog and Red the patio kitty, also very tired, the kitty doesn't like the dog, the dog has attacked Haje a couple of times and sadly I won't miss him when my daughter goes home on Saturday. So back a bit later, take care and ciao >^..^<

  13. WWM, so leave it up for a bit longer. I have ornaments hung all year round on iron hanging trees, just because I like them.

  14. Hi, peeps! I need FOOD and KITTENS! Are there any? GD, I can take Bobsky for the weekend - it takes a biggish storm to keep me awake when I CAN sleep and nothing helps me sleep when it is one of THOSE nights.

  15. Good Morning/Day to all
Ellie, my avatar, loves to jump in the middle of my chest in the mornings when she wants me to get up. She takes a running start from the bedroom door, hits full stride into a bounding leap up onto my chest, then cat-apults onto the top of a small armoir. Talk about rude awakenings!

  16. Actually, maybe Bobby would be good for Chance, GD. They could wear each other out and both sleep. Chance doesn't wake me up as much as he used to. I think he's getting used to our night routine and comes to bed when Smudge and I lie down.

  17. Hi all!
GD does Bobby only cry at night? Does he stop it when you call/go to him? Sultie started to cry at night as he got older, because his vision was a bit dimmer and it affects cat's night vision first. So when we all went to bed and put out the lights, he couldn't see and got confused and upset and would shout for us. I'm wondering if maybe the medicine might be affecting Bobby's night vision at all? Hopefully I'm wrong and its just a game/ habit for him, but if it is that, childrens night lights can help. Just a thought, I'm probably wrong though!

  18. Or maybe put a nightlight in the hallway and/or bathroom for him, he might be having problems seeing at night.

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  19. Yup, thats what I meant Azdeb :). Bobby's young but it's possible.

  20. Good morning all. So my pesky downstairs neighbors were quiet this morning! Yay. Unfortunately nature called me at 6:30am. Oh well. Such is life. It is a drizzling type of rain right now and Mia went out on the balcony and got a little wet. Silly cat. I have to pay my rent and will drop a little reminder note about notifying me as soon as another third floor unit comes available away from the courtyard.

I used up my Ghiradelli chocolate yesterday so I cannot make another hot chocolate this morning. Instead am enjoying some Odwalla Superfood in hopes it will make me feel better. I had a little indigestion yesterday evening and had to take some Mylanta. I can't eat like I use to and that stuff always helps me. Ah the joys of getting older.

  21. Bobby cries mostly at night, but not always. It's a sort of weird calling cry and some sort of grunting-ish sound. He'll continue a bit even after I turn on the light. I doubt he's looking for me in the middle of the night, as he doesn't sleep with me. I'll try a night light, though, and see what happens.

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  22. I have one of those "limelights" by the cats' food and water which I think helps them when they want food or water at night. It's very dim so as not to be too bright, but just enough to see close to the floor.

Posted 3 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  23. GD, I have a night light over where Mia and Sylvester's food and water is. It is one of the light sensor types so it goes off when it gets light and goes on when it gets dark in my apartment. I bought mine at Target. Ladykat, we think alike! :-)

  24. sniff sniff!!! Just waved Son back off to school...... his car, a small u-haul on back, all the animals (he took Meatball & cage ! yea!) the ferret (her bad self) the two cats, Rocky the chinchilla, the deago-things, and the sugar gliders. We are finally "down" to our two cats!!!!! Freeeeeddddooommmm (for a little while anyway!!!) Alice called and said Nef is doing great, her daughter loves her, and is not sure if she's ever moving Nef out to the yard. Nef minds like a dog, and the dogs love her!! They think she's "one" of them, but can't run so fast ! LOL Son was glad to hear that! I was thinking of taking down my tree today too, but then got so involved in helping Son pack, that the day just got away. Maybe I'll do it Sunday afternoon!!!! I went to the store before he left, and loaded him up on "supplies" - tp, paper towels, chips, cookies, sodas, everything a college kid wants!!! Man, we miss him, it was really good to see him over the holidays. I am blessed with a very close knit family - our kids actually like spending time with Mom & Dad!!!

  25. oh boy, I just looked at my lottery ticket from Wed. night and I won $63.00! It's not 6 mil, but I'm happy!:)

Posted 3 years ago by AV #

  26. You are very blessed, AV to have such a close knit family. Glad to hear Nef is doing well at her new home. I bet it will seem quiet now with your household reduced to you, your husband and your two cats. I bet your cats are delighted at having their home back to themselves. Whoohoo..$63 pays for a lunch for you and hubby.

Posted 3 years ago by SylMiaFelixsMomma #

  27. Hi SMM! Still have daughter until June (she's Cuddles' momma), but yes, it's very quiet! I truly don't know how Cuddles will handle daughter going off to college!!! As it is, she never comes out of daughters' room, except once (twice at the most!) to eat and do her business!!! LOL - that old lady will really grieve when daughter leaves!! Yep - $63, think I'll take hubbs on a "date night"!!

  28. Arg.... we are exhausted but everything is down. Windi is looking very sad and meowing pitifully. She is no doubt wondering where her tree went. She was a very brave girl with all of that commotion going on, though. She did lots better than we were expecting.

    So, has anyone seen Sven????

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  29. Abby will be sad too when our tree goes down, and her personal drinking recepticle is gone!!~ .....where is Sven when you need a good massage...??!! LOL

Posted 3 years ago by AV #

  30. That Sven.... totally unreliable. Today was my day to do arm weights at the gym so I was already kind of tired. Mostly because I didn't get much sleep last night. I wish that Tinafish was around. She had mentioned in another thread that she takes St. Johns Wort (is that right?) capsules for those pesky 'personal summers'. I was wondering if that really works? Because if it does, I would really like to know!!!!
