It's nice to be home, even though I was pampered at the hospital. So far so good. Wayne went to get my prescriptions filled for pain and then will pick up Maddie from Grandmas. This will be our first full night with Abbie and actually I am looking forward to it. I am tired, sleepy too but hanging in there :)

No grand tour yet GD..I would have to carry her upstairs and I have to watch going up and down the stairs. She is in her pack and play asleep right now downstairs in the living room with me. I hope she will like her room when we take her there :)

How sweet. I'm glad y'all made it home safe and sound. Abbiefish will love her new room. Take it easy Jen and don't over do it. I am not beyond calling WWM if you don't act right. I know it will be hard not to over do it, it was when I brought Cali home.

I know TF..I am so bad, I have tried to do too much already. I told Wayne to remind me not to do everything since I could still do injury to myself. My legs are swollen so I need to relax a bit and put them up.

It will be so hard, especially when Maddie needs a pick up and hug. Just go easy and don't forget to bend your knees if you have to pick Miss Maddie up. Also, don't forget to cut back on your salt intake. That will help with the swelling. Is Grandma coming over on Monday to help when Wayne goes back to work?

Actually Wayne is taking 3 weeks off, then my best friend from California is coming out for about a week to help. Then grandma will help out with Maddie. So I have a good support system

There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
I am sure Maddie will be a good big sister and helper. Maybe you can tell her that you can't pick her up, but you will sit on the sofa and snuggle with her. She can cuddle up next to you under WWM's quilt!

Jen, I am so glad that you are home! On the other hand, please remember that you ARE a post op patient. (that always drove me nuts that we would have a C-section on my surgical unit and while everyone else got "pampered up" we would tell our C-sections, "Oh, here's your pain med and here's your baby".)
It will be so hard having little Maddie badly needing extra attention right now. I am praying that you have some help at home. Wish that I could be there! Watch the heavy lifting (as in NO HEAVY LIFTING). Take it as easy as you can.
I wish that I could be there :-(

It's hard not to do what I normally do. I picked up Maddie, not thinking and Wayne yelled at me. So now my feet are up and I am resting. For a while I will be taking care of Abbie and Wayne is taking care of Maddie.
KK, he is such a good hubby and father. He steps up to the plate and takes care of his girls and even me.
